Anatoly Karpov is recovering

Karpov’s assistant Albert Stepanyan said that the 12th world champion feels well and is conscious.

“Anatoly Yevgenyevich Karpov is now conscious. He’s fine, he’s on the mend. He is being treated, but he has not been discharged yet,” – Stepanyan said.

Recall that on October 29, 71-year-old Karpov was hospitalized with a hip fracture and a traumatic brain injury at the Sklifosovsky Research Institute after an unsuccessful fall.
