“Lawlessness”. Goryachkina on changing the format ot the Candidates Tournament

Russian chess player Alexandra Goryachkina considers it wrong to change the format of the Candidates Tournament after its regulations have been determined. She reported this to TASS.

Previously, the Women’s Candidates Tournament was held in two rounds. According to the new rules established by the International Chess Federation (FIDE), the tournament will be held in the knockout format.

I’m not sure the Candidates Tournament will take place. There is no information about our group, no matter how they overturned us. I consider the change in the format of the Candidates Tournament to be outrageous. With the existing provision on its implementation, changing it to suit your desires is wrong.
