Zhukov hopes that FIDE policy will become an example for others sports federations

Vice-President of the Russian Chess Federation Alexander Zhukov hopes that the policy of the International Chess Federation (FIDE) will become an example for other international sports organizations.

Earlier, FIDE held preliminary consultations on the possible participation of children’s and Paralympic teams of Russia and Belarus in competitions under the auspices of the organization.

This is a good initiative. In general, chess is one of the few sports where our athletes continue to compete in international tournaments. I hope this will become an example for others.
