The first stage of the FIDE Women’s Grand Prix begins in Astana
The first stage of the FIDE Women’s Grand Prix will be held in the capital of Kazakhstan from September 17 to 30. In total, 4 tournaments will be played in the series, in which 16 chess players will take part (each will play in 3 tournaments). The two best chess players of the Grand Prix series enter the FIDE 2023-24 Candidates tournament.
Prize fund: 80,000 euros.

Time control: 90 minutes for 40 moves and 30 minutes until the end of the game with the addition of 30 seconds per move, starting from the first.
Game days: September 18-23 and 25-29.
