The World Team Championship will be held in Jerusalem

The World Team Chess Championship will be held in Jerusalem (Israel) from November 19 to 26. 12 teams will compete in the tournament. The national teams will be represented by such strong players as R. Wojtaszek, V. Ivanchuk, A. Giri, J. Van Foreest, M. Vachier-Lagrave, G. Vidit, N. Sarin, H. Niemann, A. Shirov, T. Radjabov, S. Mamedyarov etc.

Tournament format: The teams will be divided into 2 equal groups based on the rapid chess rating on November 1. The top four teams from each group advance to the playoffs, where they will play in the quarterfinals. Each duel will consist of two matches between the teams.
Time control: 45 minutes per game + 10 seconds for each move made
