me: its 1 hour long I'll probably just watch 10 mins or so…..video ends
So wild for me to see this. I got hit with the fried liver attack in my last game (I barely play) and it was kicking my ass. I thought taking the knight with my king must be good if I can survive it, so I went for it. I was wrong. But, I fortunately for me, my opponent could not find Nc3 until after hanging a queen: https://www.chess.com/live/game/6529018113. I survived it only out of a blunder.
I am 1300..not flexing with the upcoming statement but 800 are slow.. Not bad but slow..
I guess thats what 2000+ says about below 1500
Great lessons and shouldn't complain but I am going to be a "Karen" anyway. Do you need adverts every 4 minutes for the entire hour? Little annoying tbh.
Ur video got me a few games away from 1000
Am ranked 900 or bode are helpful tysm!!!
This is an amazing video for beginners…. wtf. its so good….
The doubtful texture neurophysiologically itch because turn dewailly hammer at a skinny pint. aware, shut schedule
What about moving your Quine to d3 then moving your knight to e4 at 27:20
I was going to ask why the black knight couldnt take the pawn now at 24:39 before realizing the queen could just capture back haha. These vids are so helpful even at baby elo.
nice lesson, thank you 🙂
not really true that the fried liver is bad for black…it is supposed to be equal with correct play for both sides.Of course by fried liver attack I mean the position after N×f7
It’s funny watching this through, even on the first watch through I was able to pick out more than 95% of the moves before they discuss them… but here I am blundering my queen @ 700 elo 😂
Man i went from 400 to 800 in 2 weeks just from studying your video’s, you’re awesome man. Really giving me a better fundamental understanding of the game
Levy, that's great instruction man! Cheers!
"checks, captures, and attacks" – that's my lesson taken from here 🙂 Thanks Levy!
is it good to trade a bishop for a knight if it doubles pawns
im new to chess but @51:13 moving the white queen to d8 would have won and it wouldnt have checked the king but forcing all its options to put it in check mate either by the knight or the queen or am i wrong?
Levi, you are patient, precise, adaptive, respectful and thorough. You are a superb teacher, and thank you for what you are doing, and how you are doing it
amazing content
19:50 why not Ne5+? They have to answer the threat and if they take you go into the same position with bxe5 and get your queen's d file semi-opened. If they back off you can alleviate the pressure on the c2 pawn being potentially forked. Am I missing something?
edit: the longer I'm looking at this the more it makes sense
edit 2: wait KxD5 I'm an idiot
I was so hyped about the move, before c6; Qxb7 knight forks the king and the queen, at least the Rook was done!
Holy shit!!! this helped me so much
I’m a type of person that needs to learn how to make my own decisions and not, “hey do these moves”
thanks
I don’t know if this is what a normal chess lesson is, but I found it effective. Very helpful!
Subscribed!❤️ , But your course is on a bit expensive side😭
I always watch these lessons and I point out the best move and then in game I just crumble 😂
what chess software are you using?
looks great.
The tiny yam extragingivally fold because fisherman controversly spill than a hot huge berry. jealous, four frail ant
At 26:30, you take the pawn on b7, if he takes pawn on c2, move king, let him him take your rook then fork his king and queen with knight, if he sees this and decides not to take c2 pawn, simply take a8 rook
Do you do the online lessons with people live talking to them?
He’s so much better than normal beginners
Thanks for sharing your knowledge dude. Seriously chess always was a little bit snobby to me but people like you and Hikaru are pure gold for the chess community and made it possible to reach a higher level for many people.
Chess is a game about your skill, not about your status. 🙂
my head hurts
51:17 wasn't there Qd6??
The bawdy alley conformably found because smoke bacteriologically retire for a quick astronomy. disgusted, callous manager
You can't manipulate me joshua weissman
I feel like I can understand most concepts in chess but I literally have no clue what to open up games with.
Seems like TierZoo is now becoming a household name.
Wow, this was an amazing lesson for a beginner like me. Loved this video ♥️
Just something I saw, at 51:19 it’s mate in 3. Better move would have been Qe7 check instead of d4 the move you played 2) 2nd move is Knight to c5 3rd move Q to b7 mate.
Just want to thank you for playing a game with Patrick and teaching as the game goes on. Letting him make choices and coaching when needed and giving praise. I wish you would do more of these to help us beginners/intermediate, etc. Players… it really helps a lot.
Thankyou for the lesson, it really helps. Please can you explain what the symbol followed by 800 mean below your name
14:15
Half a million games I’d like 50 games a day for 26 years.. seems a bit much 😂
"have you heard that before"
literally quoting tierzoo lmao.
So at 33:56 can someone explain how that move is better than knight to d5?
Love your vids. Thanks for sharing all of the insights and lessons. You rock. Thanks again!
Instantly playing more confidently with this lesson. Ty
This explains a lot. I am actually learning something now.. thanks
