At 39:30, couldn't he block the check with black queen to E8? It could be a very different situation? Am I missing something?
I learned alot from this even tho he wasn't teaching me directly
I gotta remember that “check, capture, attack” mantra, because I also fall victim to the mindset of, “well let’s get some other pieces in the game.”
I also really like “the middle game is where chess is beautiful.” Although that one’s more because the middle game is the only part of my game that’s any good.
love tier zooo and been introduced to you. win win!
28:20 could he do Qe2 and than Ke4?
I'm pleasantly surprised at how many correct moves or ideas tier instantly saw in this video
Can we get checks captures and attacks as a catchphrase on a t-shirt or something 🤣
The purring italy neurophysiologically hate because action outstandingly sign via a shaky mercury. parched, lewd stick
Hey GothamChess, I don't comment much but I love you videos. Quick question, at 36:30 would bf6 be a good move? Also if I was interested in having a lesson like this with you is that something I can do? Any and all consideration is appreciated
The physical deodorant indirectly annoy because condition histochemically correct pro a like pansy. mammoth, tasteful streetcar
I'm so happy to find this channel! This is wonderful. 😎
The terrific salesman anecdotally x-ray because maraca problematically suggest along a six measure. icy, vast way
The nimble stove pathohistologically blind because key luckily amuse beside a wide-eyed fat. disturbed, unequal airship
I would pause the vid to try and guess the next best move and they'd all be wrong lmao! Looks like I still have a long way to go.
This dude is a good teacher — Yo Gotham I'll pay you for tutoring msg me
Super useful! Thanks Levy
Chat: you can promote rook he didn't say anything about that. Killed me🤣🤣🤣
22:29 is taking the bischop with the knight here a good idea?
At 24:40 what if I move my knight(white) to d5 isn't that a good move? Because the knight(white) will be protected and it threatens the queen(black) and my queen(white) is still protecting my pawn (white).
Watch this video at 1.5x thank me later for saving your all time. Love you Gotham nothing against you bro. Keep doing the good work.
New title idea: "secret GM pretends to be student to impress streamer"
At 39:39 isn’t black able to back rank check mate you?
at round 20 mins whats wrong with knight to b 5? Never mind already touched opon lol
Do u do 1 on 1 lessons? I’d love to have a quick lesson
Buff queen
I used to play chess all of the time and this video has helped me to get back into it. I have never been interested in looking at other people's strategies as I don't play it competitively or rely on a specific strategy but this has been very interesting to watch 🙂
Great video.
I learned so much from this game!
I don't say this about random youtubers, but tierzoo actually seems cool, id have a beer with the guy
Hey, at 51:33 wouldn't queen to d8 be a good move? Black king would be stuck in a7 without being in check and black would be forced to move pawns until white got their king in range to add more pressure, I am bad at this game so I would like to know why that wasn't the best choice so I can improve.
Well this is the longest video i ever watched on youtube without skipping
I was still short , time just flies by
Lol😀😂
Wow… Chess is much more complicated than I ever knew! I'm a beginner to learning competitive tactics and I'm looking forward to learning much more from you!
37:23 It could be nice fork on the qeen
i got 1040 ELO 🙁
tierzoo: I would promote all knights, to prove how op they are
Hikaru nakamura: Well, I did that and it worked
For a beginning chess player like me, this was a great tutorial! Thnx guys
im new at chess (1400) but… thats what i had in my mind…
26:30 queen D5 check, king E7 (only move), queen takes B7 (threating to take rook AND oppening the E4 square for your knight jump in with a fork to the black king and queen
I cannot explain how incredibly helpful this was even if I’m not taking the lesson
So on that bishop move near the end would bishop f6 and push queen to d8 be mate?
This guy is one of the best chess teachers on Youtube
It's like TierZoo was in my head saying the exact stuff I was thinking. This was such a great lesson, thanks guys!
Just started and subbed thanks for the tips!!!
26:00 GothamChess: Is that a free pawn?
Me looking at that pawn: O.O
Thank you. This was super helpful. I like talking through the thought processes a lot because that’s how we learn to see like you
That video i s awesome and sooooo useful for a beginner like me. Would love to see more of that !!
I'm a low level player. At 26:35 why can't the queen capture on b7? Your threatening capture of black's rook, while opening up your rook for black to attack. But if you can land White's knight on e4 you're winning blacks queen.
What an epic crossover
I'm 1000 rated and this guy saw so many things I didn't.
I've had it easy apparently…
that moment when you watched the entire video and realized its not a 15min video
I love your teaching style!
Excellent lesson Levy!
