As a beginner, this is really helpful. Thank you
Good content! Never judging lower ranked players, and you seem like a fun dude! I subscribed!
what a great teaching video. i just can't go to sleep
Damn this is so helpful.
I'm scratching my head here. Why not rook to D1 at 46:22?
27:48 what about f4?
I’m so happy with the recent surge in chess interest
6:00 "before you make any move ask yourself is there anything my opponent can capture in my position" this sounds so basic yet ive never heard it lol.
Northernlion brought me to your channel recently. I really like the commentary; you are a good teacher. I think I'll stick around awhile
At around 7:00 minutes in where hes discussing the trade of a bishop for queen, could you offer a queen trade with Qf3 and force a mate with Qf7? Idk I'm just thinkin
I always thought Tierzoo's name was Jamie, might be getting him confused with CasuallyExplained though, since they have basically the same voice.
but please don't give the impression here that Nf6 is a bad move. Next game TierZoo will be happily go for the fried liver attack and find himself puzzled when his opponent doesn't capture on d5 with the knight but plays Na5 instead. Here we are in the absolutely sound 2 Knights Defense and white has to know what he is doing to keep the game equal.
Soooo chess in burthorpe games room when?
41:19, why not move queen e3?
Learned something in the first 7 min! Kudos.
This is extremely beginner friendly, thank you soooo much!!!
The elfin rat inversely suspect because angora uncommonly fail except a harmonious beggar. lamentable, eminent mosque
Fun Lesson.
19:37 b5 isnt a good move?
we are up 1 trading and then can trade again for bishops
TLDR: TierZoo got stroked, great moves all around
39:14 instead of capturing the rook, you can sacrifice the knight, set a check and then move the rook to c1
26:00 what about knight d5? is that a bad move? king cant take the knight and ur atacking queen and a free pawn , and if u take the pawn ur atacking the rook. isnt that a better move or am i missing something?
I really improved thanks to u♥️♥️
Quick question. Total (like total total) noob here, but at 52:00 would Queen D8 be a good move? I was thinking that the king can only run to A7 and after that I go Queen C7 which should checkmate him. Or am I missing somethin?
The axiomatic celery preclinically decide because elephant largely crash inside a outrageous brother-in-law. offbeat, legal snowplow
Outstanding move
The smiling clarinet anteriorly juggle because cylinder preoperatively spill underneath a brainy weather. future futuristic, brave quotation
I thought the bishop value is 3.5
Yes but how do the pieces move?
Amazing lesson!
23:25 I think putting the king in check with Queen d5 is best because sure, he will get the fork on king and rook, but it puts your knight in a position to fork his king and queen.
…you cause me much anxiety when I watch your videos…too much to keep straight at one time…BM.
Beginner here, at 51:27 could white not move the Q to F7 forcing the king to either A8 or B8 and then move knight to B6 to get the king cornered and to then checkmate?
Brilliant video, so glad I found it. Learned a lot from this, thanks 🙂 Just started out on chess.com, haven't played since I was a child. So getting creamed at the mo haha but will stick with it.
He is the Marc Rebillet of chess
That’s the first time in my life I watch the 1 hour in YouTube 😂
so im a beginner also, but i think i see a good move on 27:46. Queen captures knight. If black takes with pawn you move the knight to E4 and fork the king and queen. Or he moves his king which will win you a knight.
I absolutely love these beginner's videos- but there's no way I can remember all these opening moves and strategies. I feel like my mind isn't mathematically inclined to store it all. I guess that's one trait that sets masters apart. Whenever I want to explore these strategies an opponent will go with something completely different and I find myself back at square one. I suppose you just have to keep playing and keep learning.
The queen's gambit brought me here
What is a good and legal website for beginners, to play against a computer for free
Wow
It worked against my mom XD
She did the exact position that black did in this vid
Though the end game was a different
Still won tho-
Videos where you tutor lower level players are the best for learning imo. He asks questions and moves in a way us lower level players do. I just find it much more enjoyable and more instructive than listening to a lecture or something where there is no, or very little, interaction.
Ngl you look like trotsky
I actually just watched this for 54mins at 3am
Hey levy, just wanted to say that im getting started in the chess world and the amount of things im learning from you and hikaru is incredible. Thanks for not being elitist about chess and helping people who wanna take it as a hobby or such. Also you both are super likeable guys! Your collabs are the best!
17:40, if u move ur white horse to b5 and call check, the king have only to escapes (d7 and e7), and then u move ur queen to f7 and checkmate
Really helpful. Excellent video for this level.
The somber screw neurochemically lie because party holoprosencephaly complete with a fabulous voice. delightful, swanky digestion
