Excellent advice for beginner humans who want to think and try to play like an advanced human. What blows my mind is watching videos of AI programmes beating into a pulp the best chess engines, which in turn can beat any grandmaster. The AI doesn't seem to follow many of these 'rules' and doesn't seem to put a value of 3 on a bishop or 5 on a rook. It just plays the best moves to win. Good video, but it rather comes across as "This is how chess should be played. These are the rules" – whereas we have already been taught that there is a level of chess way beyond the capabilities of any human brain.
