"That way you can worry less!" Swoosh!

Andrea sounds like a Eskimo that got raised
    In a big city.

This is probably the best brief tutorial I have found. Well done…..

I'm really grateful for those Tips. I'm quite the Beginner. i know the Basics but i don't know any Strategies. Thanks a lot.

This was so super helpful and to the point! I love this channel

I prefer moving the rooks pawns up, or the center pawns up one, and fortifying a slower advance. As my first moves. You can control the center lines without physical pieces, using knights, bishops, rooks, and using pawns to block, or secure those angles, that the other pieces use.

My strategy is always to mate the queen…. I mean the king, of course

As a confused new player trying to learn chess at 66, thank you for making these lessons clear and easy to understand. Thank you. ❤️ you’re very sweet.

alright, saw this and now I am going to get my ass whooped by Chess Ultra Amateur Setting 😀

This is so well done, great job Andrea, you are amazingly concise and are a natural teacher!

The closed position at 8:01, there is a faster way to get the knight to c5 if you moved the king up to e2. Then Ne1, Nc2, Nb4 etc… it saves white 1 less move and often times that can make the difference in a position.

Rule 11 should be try to find the quickest path to the square you want to get to. It gives your opponent less time to potentially stop you.

I love how she prepared this so well.

The hottest (public) thing about Andrea Botez is that she can teach you s* about chess

Great tips! I’ve been so clueless of how it all works! 😀

I knew all the tips. guess im an intermediate at 700…

Definitely a good 9-minute rundown of what's important on the board and what isn't.
Emphasizing pawn structure without over-explaining was nice too. It sucks when people go too far into this and start boring you with unnecessary extra info. Andrea does a very good job of keeping the topics moving without taking you too far down the rabbit hole. Great video for quick pointers!

Even experienced players need to review fundamentals from time to time. This is an excellent video of fundamental principles.

Что за дичь она несёт? Сперва надо прочитать книгу "21 критическая ошибка новичка в шахматах".

I hope i can learn this for a very important chess competition for school.

You are great at this keep up the good work 🙂

Nice video to get beginners started

i feel like Andrea is a lot more beginner friendly and more helpful with tips while Alexandra is more professional oriented and better with expert advice. maybe its just me im fairly new to their content

Nic (J Bruce Feynman Niccolo P. Bentulan) says:

Who needs to watch all these chess tutorial videos when low rated?

Just watch Josh waitzkin on chessmaster and do puzzles on chesstempo and lichess. Finished.

Also find it quite absurd to pay a single cent for chess / 9LX when low rated.

The only chess videos to watch when low rated would maybe be openings but why even bother when you can just play 9LX? Lol

8:18 Bishop grab, and King/Pawn fork! 😄 I know you weren't looking for that in your example, but I caught that. LOL

I was unable to concentrate on the video… for obvious reasons.

I was watching this during my chess class today. It’s an elective at my school

So useful. Especially for those who have not developed a strategy. Such as I.

Why should we listen to anything you say when you can’t beat your sister 🧐

You have got to be the sexiest girl in the world. The brains enhances your beauty and that voice…my God.

Double pawn was a great tip. Thanks so much. I’m going to be the best one day.

How did I predict Andrea would mention “how does the knights move” early as possible 😂
