I learned most of these principles as a teen ( good stuff )
I also love Levy Rozman's principles of "Checks, Captures, Attacks" for analysis importance, and "disprove the move" in calculation (the latter basically means you should never justify how a move could succeed, but instead justify why the move can't fail)

oh chess not conquer space play chess a child game for dorks
Wow! Great suggestions!
Great video, but point 31 is a bit confusing. The principal is when you're down, trade pawns, not pieces but then demonstrates a move that trades pieces, not pawns.
I don't want to sound corny but I made flash cards with these principles, and without a doubt my game has improved tremendously. Don't get me wrong, I still get my head busted, but I know where it's coming from now. Just subbed!!
im a expert chess
Beautiful video 😊 and nice plot twist at the end 😄
Rule Number 39:
„If you want to forget the wars on that planet, make a blunder!“
(Vlastimil Hort)
Rule Number 38:
„Play Chess! Than you are a Gentleman!
Don‘t play good Chess, than you destroy your life!“
(English saying)
Rule Number 37:
Always say „Check!“ It could be Mate!
(Laslo Portisch)
Rule Number 36:
„If there are two pieces under attack, offer a third one!“ (Michail Tal)
Beginner here, but….
at 17:06 knight doesn’t checkmate to a smothered king, right? the pawn can just capture knight… I think…. or am I missing something? Anyway, I learned a lot! Gotta keep one or 35! steps ahead of my 14yo son!
Great video. I’ve watched a lot of chess videos over the years and didn’t know the basic fundamentals they were using on certain moves that now make sense.
This video is clear and to the point. That is pretty rare on videos made in America.
Thank you for information
😎Good stuff ‼️
Chess
Excellently explained!
Really good job. Felt like you are spilling my learnings over the years to the general public so easily 😂
Very important information you have studied it a lot lot
35 …
Excellent. Thank you very much.
Great summary! However, whenever you say stuff like "HE gets a queen" I flinch. There are so many great female chess players out there, mate. Show them some respect and include them in your great chess vibes 👍
Thank you mate. You are brilliant at explaining things easily.
Princable no 36: when there is M1 look for a better move
Thank you for the principles sir
Hi. Great video.
Would you make a # step video for finding the best move in a puzzle?
love you from Bangladesh 🇧🇩
The "Knights on the rim" example is kind of an eye sore because of Rxe4, but good points to follow generally as a beginner. Was hoping for something a bit more advanced, but I like your videos.
the 14 is wrong when you play English opening you should do that to pin the knight pawn with the rook
Where the heck is the old, wise man in the thumbnail; I want to learn from him
thanks bro
To the point, short and sweet. Now why cant people who teach chess do it like you. We not interested in what they think and what they would do or how smart they are, if they so smart they shouldn't be teaching but rather playing Magnus. Thank you so much for this lesson.
among all the principles,, i only apply the 35th ones 🥲
Best example of breaking the priciples are games from GMs where they sacrifice the queen
It doesn't even take 35 moves much less 35 principles.
Principle #2 is called the French defense which would be followed by castling the King. Usually, it's done if you're the black pieces. It does limit the options for the Queen as she's trapped behind her self-created wall.
This is all common knowledge to me but WOW this helps explain chess to my kids much better than I ever could, Excellent video!
I wish I knew these principles combined when I was a beginner! I learned them the hard way, thou.
Developing pieces like this once i suffered opponent literally outsmart me badly by only playing pawns his pawn made me suffer thats why now i dont bring max pieces out
Yesterday i played a game i literally made enmy think that he was making me punish and im defending his attacks but i was the one who is controlling his moves, and he lost very badly
Bro these are so so helpful
Thanks bro my rating went from 657 to 555
