anyone as the checkmate of black on anderson's game?

I really wish you explained that first game better… Apparently the rules were different at that time? But you didn't explain the actual rules.

couldnt the queen in the evergreen match just take the bishop that was threatening checkmate? im confused

"…and the other guy is named after pants…." First time I laughed watching chess content… kudos, sir.

    13:14 I predicted Bd6 without knowing the game and i am only 1000 😂😂

Look what time it is, 12:00 A.M! This was so interesting I watched it twice and now it's way past my bedtime. But good time.

Supper fun! Very exciting! What a great MOVie.

Locking the door is a scene from A Bronx Tale. “Now yous cant leave.”

24:10 you are morally obligated to take en passant, even if it completely blunders the game

Ek pawn ke chakkar mai karpov ki gand lag gyi

Karpov vs Kasparov is when i realized Kasparov is a genius

I stayed the entire half hour thanks bud very entertaining

Since watching my Blitz has gone from 200-100.

Great analysis. Very entertaining you make chess super fun!

I just saw Evergreen in a Chess Meme video today

That octopus knight annoyed THE HELL out of ME! Can't imagine how karpov felt playing against it 😂 absolute masterclass

I was literally a biggener at chess…. after watching your videos i am now a grandmaster in clickbaiting

You spin a good yarn, Levy, these games remind me of the old saying "the past is a foreign country, they do things differently there."

19th century chess feels like a Fire Emblem cutscene

That 4th game is straight disrespectful. What a way to dominate your opponent

Whenever i about to quit chess i watch is video and now i am 1400

    Should add marshall goldshower game

The first game was quite similar to Bobby Fischer played as a kid that levy uploaded.

Andersson in these games is just dangling his balls at his opponent and being like "hit me! I dare you!"

Ok I take the bait, I think that nothing creates a sound. There are strukture changes in the things around us, and it this structure change is big enough to change the position of enough Air or similar mater that connects the structure change to our ears, there is a reaction inside our brains (which is more structure change to be honest) that we experience what we call a sound. So, if all brains, in which sound is registered, are far enough from an accouring structure change, then there is no Sound. -sorry for typos english ain't my first language.

I was listening to your videos while traveling. You sound like Gru, if he was a GM. New nickname, chess Gru

Watched two of these games in levys latest video too the same day how chess evolved over time

    @GothamChess nah its 2024 now not 2026

If you did six games, would the next one be Fischer's game against Byrne? The one with the amazing queen sacrifice and the knight windmill near the end — widely known as the game of the century.

Fab group of games. I love old-school.

Took lessons from Asa Hoffman at the Marshall chess club 🙂

If a tree falls in a forest and no one is around to hear it, it only makes a sound 10 years later when Paul Morphy dies broke in the steets

7:40 and yet they named one of the worst openings (a3) after this legend…

This is the kind of HISTORY I would like to learn in school
