Danny sending their errand boys (Gotham, Naka) to convince everybody that their site and star competition (Titled Tuesday) is clean and under control … LOL

If 150 titled accounts and over one million non-titled accounts in 2023 were closed for cheating, then one can assume that cheating is rampant. I find that to be amazing.

If Gotham would just make a compilation of this comment section…STONKS

Someone needs to beat Vlad fairly in front of the Chess.com crew, and if he claims cheating, they can boot that pratt out for good. Yes there are cheats, but also he is a very bad loser.

Did you celebrate Kingsday in Amsterdam? 🙂

17% doesn't necessarily mean the underdog wins a game in 6, but in 3 game they get 1 draw and lose the other 2 would also be 17%.
I'd agree that the incentive to cheat in TT would probably come when a GM or IM starts well and then decides with a bit of help (not a lot but just a couple of moves in a critical situation) they can get into the prize money.

I guess cheating may be easy if you have a sock-puppet account to watch you with top moves switched on and on a totally different device on a different internet connection (probably easy to do the latter via VPNs).

There are othre ways to cheat undetected to get a slight advantage e.g. having some printed notes you can look at on the openings. Get off to a good start, you have a chance of doing well.

Note: The % score for each player DOES NOT represent the % of times they win; it represents the average amount of points they obtain in every game (includes 0.5 points for a draw). Therefore, CMs are not beating GMs in 1 out of every 6 games.

I am big fan from Iraq 🇮🇶 i follow when u were 1.5 million

Plot twist: Lower rated AND higher rated players cheat in title tuesday. Why aren't they thinking about that possibility, Are they stupid? It would literally explain why it's not visible in the data.

Hallelujah!!!! The daily jesus devotional has been a huge part of my transformation, God is good 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻was owning a loan of $47,000 to the bank for my son's brain surgery (David), Now I'm no longer in debt after I invested $8,000 and got my payout of m $270,500 every months,God bless Chloe Linda Henderson 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸..

Bro, online cheating can be stopped with few cameras that every player will have to install, if you dont configure cameras like they ask you, you cant play, there you go, no more cheating. Privacy, hide private thing, move them out of the way from the cameras

Levy, how disappointing of you! You were in Brussels and didn’t even link up 😁

Levy never fails to be held hostage

the fact that this video exist is probably the biggest proof of Kramnik's being right. This is disgusting to watch. Never been a huge fan of this guy, now I know I've always been right.

It's simple because there are more underrated people over the bored so they win more

I think people overestimate the effect of rating difference, and at the levels over 2k the difference has less meaning than at lower level. Like at 1k level the gap in player capability is 1 per point, and in 2k level the gap is less, like 0,5 per point.

Very good content from you and very interesting report from FIDE.
    But why SO clickbait title?)

Before I watch this video, can anyone confirm Gothamchess does all these things I demand? I would appreciate getting an answer before I watch the video because otherwise doing so is a massive waste of time. 4:07

What are they measuring if both underdog and top players cheat similarly?

Could higher rated players also be cheating online…? only the underdog can cheat??

Really excited to hear your thoughts on tyler1 hitting 1800!

truthfully. I dont care about the 0.0001% of titled players playing in titled Tuesday. They are statistically the only ones plaything the game fair anymore lol Danny said they closed OVER 1 MILLION accounts for cheating. Most of the people cheating are low rated nobodies that are cheating just to feel marginally better about themselves for 30 seconds.

Regarding the difference in win rates, I would expect players to spend significantly more time preparing for an over-the-board event, and knowing who they might play against, they'd have an advantage.

For example, there's a much higher chance that a low rated player has prepared against Kramnik than vice versa. There's just so many more low rated players that he couldn't possibly prepare against them all. Whereas for the low-rated player, there's a decent chance that if they win the earlier games, then they'd be up against Kramnik.

Honestly, I just hate to see chess reduced to this. I mean that for everyone right now. I feel it in everyone's demeanor across the board. You, Levy, The Botez Fam, Hikaru, we saw it through the candidates matches with Gukesh's interviews and the parade after which was just shameful. I feel so bad for chess right now. I'm an avid player I'm anywhere from 1200-1400 blitz 5/0 and it's upsetting to see how stressful it's become. Even just 30 minutes a day on video has to be what? They'd say 1 hour prep but it's probably closer to 1 1/2 hrs, and should be counted as 2 regardless for your own comp from the times they say 1hr and it's only like 40-45 minutes. That's the balance of it. I miss your originality in ur picks. U were more enthusiastic and less sarcastic. It's like ur being forced to be yourself now, which is killing my favorite part about u Levy, that spontaneity 😢

I don't have a lot of respect for anyone who leads 9ff with "I didn't read…but". Instant huge loss of credibility.

Just release the data and let the public do their own analysis. Boom.

You really rock, Levy. How glad I am looking to a nice guy like you having the level of success you have achieved.

Blink twice if Danny is holding you hostage

for a split second i thought he had plush ears because of the lights

Well, great players go crazy later in life obviously

Kramnik: ok, everything is clear now, Let's do the procedure…. Block….report: cheating

Cheating aside, I believe that the relative disparity between a 1,000 and a 1,500 is bigger than the one between a 2,000 and a 2,500. If a 1,500-rated player makes a mistake, the 1,000-rated player is less likely to notice and even if they do, they probably won’t punish it properly. In fact, there’s a good chance they blunder right back. At the 2,000+ rating level, a GM can make a mistake and generally, an FM is good enough to notice and punish it more consistently and effectively than a 1,000. Now, this is mitigated by the fact that GMs tend not to make mistakes very often and a good chunk of the ones they do make require engine-level play to properly punish. But, in my opinion, the higher an underdog’s rating, the more likely they can score an upset against even higher-rated opponents.

In this incident I agree with kramnik. Online ratings are more accurate and 17 % upsets seems quite high. It is easy to work out the large numbers of upsets in OTB as ratings are seldom accurate

One issue with the study is that FIDE blitz ratings are unreliable indicators of player strength as most players have relatively few rated games in that format. Using that as a basis of comparison is very problematic.

Kramnik is the kid who snitches on the cheating kid in the class
    Such a classic

I'd love for you to come and do a UK tour or at least have a date in the north and the Midlands as well as London.

I think there are almost no cheaters amongst people who also participate in OTB events in a professional manner. It just would not make any sense.
Everyone knows they would get caught at some point. Online games however are a complete different story and very hard to verify.

Levy, you missed to make video on Samay Raina vs Total Gaming cheating controversy. (Its quite clear to 95% chess audience that total Gaming cheated in the both off stream game, and the on stream game, where side eyes are also an indicator of using stockfish)

I'm a chess novice minus. Like I know nothing. So can someone please explain to me why someone cheats at chess??! What do you gain? A higher rating that you can never back up in real life at a real game? I just don't understand what the motivation is here?

so GM online are cheating more than lower rated players 🙂
