Hikaru 102 IQ seems… unlikely. Given that 2 of the areas it measures are spatial reasoning and processing speed… he must be real dumb in the other areas 😂
He’s easily an outlier in those 2 unless he only processes chess this quickly

Thanks Hikaru. I appreciate the longer format w/ instruction. I was shocked when you said your IQ is 102. There is no way. My IQ is 133 and I suck at chess. I lose many 10+0 games on time. I started playing last year and my elo on LiChess is around 1250. lol I have won the under 1300 and the under 1700 arena tournaments on LiChess, but each time it was mostly because my opponents tilted. I recently started playing the Caro Kahn with black instead of the Stafford and Danish gambits, and I usually play the London with white. After your explanation of the London's shortcomings, I will look for something better.

I am a beginner and I've been very hesitant to play chess lately and I would have never thought I would ever watch a 1 hour video of chess but I have to say, I watched it and I enjoyed it and I would love to watch more of such content.
