In an earlier interview, former World Chess Champion Bobby Fischer said that women are terrible chess players, should be kept out of intellectual affairs and stay at home cleaning. In this interview from 1972, shortly before his World Championship against Boris Spassky, he seems to have changed his opinion somewhat.

I feel like Bobby Fischer was never sexist as in "Youre a woman, you shouldnt play Chess" but more like "woman are bad at Chess and dont deserve to play me/other pros". As soon as a girl demonstrates shes good enough then hes fine with it.
People don't realize that in competitive games, not just chess, you have to be competitive in order to keep up with the others, and man are more competitive than woman that's just a fact, so of course there will be more man, and yes this makes woman feel intimidated but also makes man feel intimidated aswell but they still go in anyways with their butts ready to get clapped because that is what competitions are all about get clapped until you learn how to clap others.
Yeah chess is sexist, look at the skill hap between the king and queen.
If men and women could play each other all the time then chess would be the best sport in terms of diversity. It’s a board game you could have a 7year old autistic kid play an old woman and it could still be fair

This just goes to show if a white male is not affected by something he's unlikely to notice there was literally a video from the other day like a month ago or something i saw of a top chess player who was a woman that she stood up for a few seconds to properly greet someone and someone else literally stole her seat and then wouldn't move and she was just left standing there flabergasted, she was one of the top chess players and she couldn't get a damn seat to sit in
