"When you mentioned I should try to milk the position" quite rare!… udder brilliance, discovering a new opening with no liability at steak, you do don't butcher your chances, nice moooves in the middle game, I don't think this steers anyone wrong, it's definitely no bull, no bullocks

    WELL DONE! (HAR!)

Almost as powerful as the Bongcloud … let's just ignore centauries of opening principles.

I kept hearing mooos when you were saying moves 😂

when you move the polish opening and then the cow opening to get the rare acheivment called the polish cow opening.

Cool opening! I’ll try it! I’ll milk it for all it’s worth!

I want to see you playing this with Levy 😅

I think the basic variant should be called "Dubious cow opening".

A father's daughter, for sure; couldn’t deny the Spaniard.

Name the most confrontational version "beef various"

We need reticulum, rumen (paunch) and omasum variations. It depends on how many opponent pieces are digested.

Anna, Tried the cow opening and won my first three games with it! It happened just like you said. They got a big center, but then didn't know what to do. Eventually I chipped away at the center and got a good position for the win. Fun video. Thanks!

Anna – you need a “rumination variation” – something to think about it, or ruminate on it. Whilst you think about it your cow can also be “ruminating” all the grass is he has eaten. 🤣🤣🤣

Shouldn't the Cow opening be called a Small Center Defense: Bovine variation (or Cramling variation)? It looks way too suspicious, though. Why does it work? Are players like Hikaru and Magnus not able to easily refute it? Would be cool to test it against one of them in a classical match.

Anna, in the second game, your opponent is playing a King's Indian Attack

what is she saying here 8:15 ? if you are under 1600 opening matters zero ?! is that an insult to ratings under 1600 or what does she mean ? lol

Yes Anna, show us the “mouveeesss” ❤️❤️

I am looking for the variations. What should they be called?🤔Stupid cowvariation? Smart cow variation?Mad cow variation? Sorry i just couldent helped myself 🤣🤣🤣🤣

I am definitely adopting the Cow Opening in my arsenal of chess openings!

good opening interesting i want to try to play

You are too bloody cute Anna. Love the idea. I'll be using the cow opening for a few weeks to see if it suits my playing style

You don't play moves in this opening. You play mooooooooves😂 "Udderly" fantastic. I am going to milk this opening for all it's worth.

this opening could be called the C.O.W (Cute Opening Weapon) the c is a work in progress

🙏Thank you so much Anna, I love the creativity, the passion and the good vibes you put into your work!
This opening is a masterpiece, a story, a way of playing and promises than chess is more than a game =D

I have something similar to the bovine technique that you used. But mine is a bit beefier.

calf variation: you do a cow variation but just on one side…

    YOOOO I WON WITH THE COW!!! 1. e3 e5 2. d3 d5 3. Ne2 Nf6 4. Ng3 Nc6 5. Nd2 Bg4 6. Be2 Bc5 7. Nb3 O-O 8. Nxc5 Qd6 9. Nxb7 Qb4+ 10. Bd2 Qxb7 11. b3 Rfe8 12. h3 Bh5 13. Bxh5 Nxh5 14. Your opponent will be in udder disbelief if you play this opening.

I’m thinking a semi-cow opening, just one knight to g6 or g3 is a better choice.

The most famous cow in the UK is Ermintrude if you are of a certain age. Always seen on TV with a flower sticking out of its mouth.

well done variation where it's actually very bad.

Isn't this the Grob opening or the grob attack????

Let me show you the mooooooves of the cow opening

Ok what the hell, I just tried the Cow Opening and won easily. I mean, my opponent definitely blundered .. but maybe the opening put him off?
