How about the "Where's the beef?" variation, because it starts out looking so innocuous

Anna, let's be oooooonest here, This opning is complete bullshit

Ich bin halt einfach steif und kucke mit einem Auge zu

Definitely need a "Bull's Eye" variation. Probably something to do with a Bishop or Queen attacking something.

This is awesome! My name is Ferdinand 😮

Brown cow variation! Beef milk variation!

If you put one of the bishop on d2/e2 and advance one of the pawn that is D3/E3 and the opponent advance their pawn also and you can called it The Single-ShortHorn advance variation.

I made this opening last year? Ive played it so many times

I’m playing this in my tournament next month

played 3 time 1st time i destroyed the person, 2nd time i should have lost but won, third time i should have won, but ended up losing.

We need the Frisian and jersey variations

Got a yogurt ad with a cow in it before watching lol

    I'm 4-1 with Got Milk opening 🐄

Now I'm 8-3. 2 of the losses were from the middle game. 1 loss was my opponent having a good response to the way I made the cow. I'll continue using this opening!

Wait for a variant where you sacrifice a piece. Call that the 'Bison' variant (bye son)!

Anna, you really are very beautiful! And have the most beautiful eyes! ❤

I will definitely give this a try. I love your creativity and positivity!

My first thought for a suggestion was “the mad cow variation” lol.

Hi Anna🐮! I'm feeling positive about the COW opening, but doesn't it heavily depend on the udder player's strategy? Also, the King knight away from the center might reduce my options.

It’s “utterly” ridiculous! In the best way. I’m going to try it out.

Anna ❗ I figured out why you have that new ring. It's because of your new bovine friend, ain't it?

If there is a variation where the opponent loses, you should call it the Moo variation.

The Cow gambit? (and then: the Cow gambit declined?)

I have invented the sheep opening, first move the b pawn, then the a pawn, then the a pawn then the a pawn again.

Went pretty good for me in the first 3 games at ~1500

The Highland Cow (one of our most famous creatures) would surely have an H file attack. Slowly at first with h3, just chillin, preventing bg4. And when the time is ready the highland cow h pawn charges fearlessly, bullishly, towards the enemy monarch

Thank you for showing a new way to play chess! Ill be sure to use this in a few games (:

making my own comment thread to come back and report how i did with this

I recall getting wiped when I tried this against my dad. Ask your mother how to mince this.

    No way that actually works.
The amount of time I gained was funny 😀 Actually up a full minute by the end. And my opponent didn't know what to do at all.
I think this opening really punishes those players who get used to challenging early, but have absolutely no idea how to convert a won center.
Also I really liked the position I gained with it. Felt really cool to play. Will definitely play it until it fails eventually (let's be real for a sec) 😀

Variations definitely should be called by countries. Spanish cow, Polish cow, and the sharpest – Russian cow.

Why not just call it the Ferdinand Opening??

Moo-tant Opening. Anna my AI search engine (although it couldn’t find your cow opening 😅) suggested the following variation names (with quite a bit of prodding) – I vote for the Moo-tant Opening 😂🐮
BSE Opening: This could refer to "bovine spongiform encephalopathy," which is another name for mad cow disease.
Vache Variation: This could be named after the French word for cow, which has dual French and Old English variations, as mentioned in one of the search results.
Holstein-Friesian Variation: Holstein-Friesian is a breed of cow commonly used in dairy farming, so this variation name could reference cows in that way.
Moo-tant Opening: This name is a play on words combining "cow" and "mutant," since mutations can be related to genetic variation in cows as mentioned in one of the search results.

I'm going to try it. But I believe it is better for defense rather than attack.
