After Rc8+ Kb3, … He knew he had it because the King can't guard the e4 Pawn. He just needed him to leave the h5/c1 diagonal, … otherwise Re8 could have been met with e3.

1 bishop can only controls 32 squares while 1 rook can go to 64 squares faster thats why magnus win the game.
