Mmmm I finally know the gist of this lawsuit after it's been dropped. Magnus being a five times world champion has weight to his words so his allegations can't be taken lightly and he has a right to decline playing Hans if he feels uncomfortable.
At the same time Hans can't be stamped a cheater as long as he isn't caught in the act or has some other kind of concrete proof against him. The chess federation shouldn't blacklist him from tournaments until those allegations are proved to be true. But I guess.. like any other small game community the federations that rule over it are closed minded so what else can be done.

We don‘t know if Hans Niemann actually cheated cause there is no evidence for him cheating. There is something called presumption of innocence. And I think as long there is no proof, what Magnus and the media did is davastating to Hans and he has the right for damages.
Only way Hans can cheat is if he has nano tech in his brain.

I’m not saying Neimann cheated, but the fact that he has about 10 games with 100% accuracy is wild, considering that even someone like Carlson has only two games with that much accuracy.
