We don't need a Chess 2.0 since Chess itself is the ancestor to all video games with strategy. Pokémon is just 4 piece chess (6 in singles, and some other formats) and MOBA (League of Legends, Pokémon UNITE, etc.) games are just chess with special looking queens. You'll find a lot of chess-like interactions in a lot of games, especially RTS games where defeating other nations (Civilization) or beating other nations to milestones is the goal

Fun fact is putting the tablebase into an engine actually makes them weaker in some scenarios when playing against opponents without a tablebase as they may accept a disadvantageous position just to avoid some extremely long mate

i actually did a research and found that the 7-piece tablebase should be around 18 TB… but to be honest its actually still big!
