GRAND FINAL: Alireza vs. MVL! French #1 & French #2 Clash In Epic Decider! CrunchLabs Masters 2024

The CrunchLabs Masters is the third tournament of the Champions Chess Tour 2024. Based on their performances in the last CCT event, some players get to skip the first two days of this tournament. GMs Alireza Firouzja (Division I winner), GM Magnus Carlsen (Division I runner-up), and GM Maxime Vachier-Lagrave (Division II winner) are already in Division I and will start their tournament on July 19, with the other five players still to be determined.

🏆

The 2024 Champions Chess Tour (CCT) is Chess.com’s most important event series of the year with the overall winner being crowned Tour Champion, the highest annual honor conferred by the world’s largest chess platform. New for 2024, each regular season event has had its prize pool increased from $235,000 last year to $300,000—the largest ever offered for CCT events outside the Tour Finals. The pool for the Tour Finals remains $500,000 making the total available on the Tour a cool $1.7 million. Also new for 2024, the time control for every stage will be 10+2.

Finalmente o repertório de enrolação do Firouzja parou no MVL, grande jogador.
Firo deu show, mestre…. Tava torcendo pra ele

Sauce béarnaise is actually disgusting it tastes like shield bugs smell. 🤮

So you have this stream replay up for those of us who couldn't watch live, and then two videos below you have the results video naming the winner… 🤦🏻‍♂️

MVL is so humble. Sure he'll get money from these tournaments, but he's clearly enjoying playing chess and providing very great games and entertainment.
I wish we had more players like him in the top level.

Why Firozja needed to beat Magnus TWICE last tournament??
    But MVL doesn’t need to???

Du très grand Maximus ! Bravo à Ali !
    💪 🇫🇷

Máxime played the tournament of his life. But he can’t ever convert this into Over the board chess. Seems like players like Hikaru, Bortnyk, MVL, and even Alireza can only play well online but once candidates come around they are nowhere to be seen.

After listening to Daniel today—it’s clear his co-host makes all the difference

He’s professional and on point with other high-level commentators

With Levy, today, he was sloppy, negative, and low energy

For the first time no magnus,Hikaru, fabiano, pragg

aint no way Mark Rober got a chess tourney hosted

For the first time no magnus,Hikaru, fabiano, pragg

I'm glad MVL is back strong. I'm still upset about what happened in the 2020-2021 Candidates…MVL should have won.
