I agree the arbitrators should not talk to the players during a game unless they are doing something wrong in the current game they are playing which has to be fixed exactly then.

Interesting about the Alireza/Arbiter business. Levy's idea that he might have walked around barefoot is not that strange. I used to be a teacher, and when invigilating exams you HAD to walk around on a bare wood floor. To avoid distracting the candidates I would always take my shoes off. Stubbing toes could be an issue though. Thank you for the excellent recaps as ever.
