I really like how this whole tournament Hikaru said "Forget mainlines, I'm playing extended bullet" and started cooking everyone. Sort like he picked up an idea from the Qatar tournament seeing how 2400s were boxing with GMs. When everyone is used to the best theoretical opening moves from beginning to end throwing curve balls catches them off guard and the chess speaks for itself
