I am confused as to why people keep saying that someone lost their time advantage after the clocks are close to equal at some point of the game… That doesn't mean the guy lost or wasted his time adv, quite the contrary that means he actually used them. If they end the game with the same time diff as they had on the start it means the guy never actually used his extra 3 min…

I wonder how many people got the wrong idea on the subway or at work, or in line for coffee, when someone with earbuds in random shouts "Mexican!" and laughs. 🤣🤣🤣
GM Hikaru is unbeliavable. During his game he spends time to follow ALL the games, when his oponent is thinking makes comments on every game (in a so-called "confession room") makes very accurate assesments and predictions of all of the games in his comments (while his game is in progress!) he even notices what shirt one of the players is wearing (shich he'd worn before at another tournament), abserves Anish's reaction of a game by a third party players (when one of the players make an innacurate move). And after the game he makes a recap as usual, of course.

The fun part about the line that Hikaru played is that it's even quite popular and John V der Wiel played it against me but I still got a very good position (I managed to lose the game because well, it's John)
I don't like that you think that Hikaru playing for a win implies that Firouja is somewhat of a breakable or "weaker" opponent. He just doesn't respect his opponents like you do. It's what makes him a GM and you an IM. You're more than happy to scrape up a draw, as long as it means not a loss. Hikaru plays to win. He wants to do great, not good. Would love to see you take risks and really drive home your ability to complicate a game some more. Love watching you play; super entertaining, engaging – all the good things – but you don't play chess to crush your opponents, you play to see who you can beat, and who you can't. Hoping to see some disrespect from you. Best wishes.
