i believe Hickaru's potential.. he is one of the few to possibly defeat carlsen in any time control. Only he shifted to shorter time control in the past few years. Now he is back at longer time control..lets see if he will pursue again the world championship

What a game! Very entertaining Armageddon game by the top players in the world. So many twists and turnsβ¦ First Magnus fell for the poisoned central pawn trap leading to a losing position. Then Hikaru being distracted by the black knight and central passed pawn failed to find the winning continuation, and shockingly returned the queen plus material advantage leading to a possible drawn endgame (win for Magnus). During the complicated fracas, Magnus failed to watch the clock ending up losing on time. π
After this frustration, Magnus maintains his title on the podium of the 1st World Champion in chess games βοΈ

He was winning on the board outplaying magnus but magnugoat found a comeback- difficult to hold but probably a draw and thats why naka felt bad for him for flagging. And no its not dirty its time usage and no increment. Gg both legends

Being alive to witness these two battling head to head through their primes is such a treat. Itβs the Chess equivalent of Ronaldo/Messi. Iβm glad Magnus has decided to continue his career on his own terms and Hikaru is peaking. Weβre simply lucky to be able to watch this rivalry as it unfolds.
