The strange thing is, I get to 1000 sometimes. My highest ever is 1100 I think. But at other times I lose quite a bit and dip down below 800 again. Not sure if this is normal…

being 1000 in rapid and 700 in blitz myself, I can say there is a drastic difference in the same elo in the two categories

I think you should use your current IM profile pic and change it to your 1000 account and use your current 1000 profile pic and change it to your main IM account. That pic is way too intimidating for other 1000s and that pic is way too casual for an IM account. Lol who is Gotham chess ? I watch Levy chess

So I’m not saying I’m gifted or whatever but being 1000 elo in chess definitely wasn’t a hard achievement nor did it feel like crossing a massive roadblock, obviously it’s different for everyone, but I’ve seen comments saying that it’s a massive achievement just giving my view

Tho im someone who doesnt play chess often at all, i feel like im a decent player when i do play which really makes me wonder what elo id make it to if i did play more. I tried a game pretty recently against an 1100 elo ai and i won which made me more curious about how id do and how accurate the ai really is in comparison to average person of the same elo.

I hit 1000 elo just today, that gave me a skill boost in puzzle rush, reaching 32 with 30 streak on the same day
I think Gotham is underestimating low elos cause he sees to many bad chess games in GTE
