Anish to Nepo : Best trick is to offer a draw
    Nepo : Thanks man

    Magnus vs Nepo
Me (before watching video) : I know, I know Nepo will blunder the game,,,,🐈☺️🥰🤗

Magnus likes these short formats because he can play these unusual moves which I think bring novelty to the chess which holds for him not many secrets anymore.

Chicago master Greg DeFotis (who played in a US championship) used the knight retreat on move two for years and continually got good positions.

On this level this is such a 'spit in your face' opening. Magnus can be such a di*k xD

Magnus keeps on playing chess like an art of war. Literally ignoring norms and tradition. Elite Prodigy aging like a fine ass wine!

Watch the cat playing with the mouse

The Brooklyn defense is such an underrated terrible opening. People can now experience it in all of its glory!

And….this is why he didn’t play against him in the WCC for the second time to defend his title. No challenge.

    Incredible!

Magnus just wonders his King into a position where it becomes the bait!

    Nerves of steel!

But, with that siad, it's not uncommon for him either! Lol!

Like watching Kasparov toying around with Nigel Short back in the day….absolutely leagues apart

I found Queen to B6 instantly, but I didn't put together exactly what to do next.

Where the hell is the WORLD CHAMPION all this time?!

So much for trying to control the centre at the beginning of the game.

At 2:48 after Black (Magnus) does Ngf6, Stockfish (16-nnue) has the game scored as +2.1 at depth 31. Magnus is playing poorly and is making bad move after bad move, but he eventually wins because his opponent continues to make even worse moves.

Thought about c5 instead of Qb6… and when the knight moves play d4 😅

That typo in the quote makes it seem dirty for some reason 😂

I was thinking of kg5 lmao and i neatly went insane when he said the move was kg5😂

Very smart to play some crazy stuff early in a bullet game – rendering completely useless the preparation of your opponent!

Still not as great as Kramnik's response to 1. e4 against Niemann

The bar and library are gonna go wild when I drop this on them! 🎉

I'm pretty sure I remember Botvinnik apparently played the Knight back against the Alekhine's advanced variation like Magnus did here, and he got beaten handily. Him or Petrosian. Not sure where I'm remembering this from, maybe Fischer wrote it in my 60 memorable games?
