Can you give some comment of the losing streak. I feel so bad I want to give up, almost. Even a draw would be welcome. How do I relax, I don't want to lose anymore and everytime I move up, I deal with better players, and I want to sandbag my score so I can own some noobs.

    1. im good at middle game 2. i always put on max volume 3. i always think before moving

Download stockfish and run it from your 4th move.

having cold (not very, but maybe like 18 C in T-shirt) prevents me from zoning out every 2 min. Also works for exams at college.

When you lose a queen or just losing in general don't be so quick to resign just try to play good chess bc a lot of the time I find that opponents don't know what to do with a winning position and blunder their way into losing or evening the game back up or missing mates or even stalemating the game (1100 and below for the most part)

Thank You very much man.Today i hit 1000 elo thanks to your videos they help me so much and i hope you continue posting chess.

Physical exercise, it helps you release a lot of excess energy, this will help you stay calm and not be agitated under stress or if you’re in a losing position.

A nice tip to help you blunder less (applies to rapid and longer modes) – always take atleast 10 seconds before making any move – even if it's an obvius one. During these 10 seconds ask yourself "Why play this?" "Is there something better?" etc. You'll be grateful for applying this tip atleast once in your chess career.

Don't play for elo, the stress will reduce your focus.

Thank you, you're absolutely right. I have noticed that my performance tends to decline after a good streak of focused games where I win and increase my rating. The problem arises when I fail to maintain that level of focus after a loss, resulting in numerous mistakes and subsequent losses, causing me to lose a significant number of points. Additionally, I have a preference for playing blitz and bullet games, and I often find that even a rapid game of 10 minutes feels too long. Interestingly, my performance in rapid games is significantly better compared to blitz games, with a difference of around 500 rating points. I recently analyzed one of my rapid games and found that it was rated approximately 400 points higher than my current rapid rating.

On another note, there are occasions when I find it challenging to play chess without distractions. If I don't respond to my wife while playing, she jokingly threatens to ruin my life. It can be quite difficult to maintain focus with such amusing distractions.❤💙💞

Remember that this is a game and it's supposed to be fun.

CHESSPAGE1 PLEASEEE!! WHEN WILL YOU TEACH ME THE CARO KANN

To improve focus i would like to add one more point. That i think is very important and helping me a lot.
Play 5 games but practice opening 50 times a day (or 25). I mean no matter how much time you have, you should save that time for middle game you cant waste your time focusing on opening trying to play or discover some unique gambit (do that with yourself, play with yourself but dont discover things on board with another pwrson). Practise different variations of same opening and then when u start a game quickly analyze and end your opening. Then sit take 30 sec for each move (if u r playinf 15|10 ).

2nd point i like to add is if u have a chess board try to play on that board exactly lile you are playing on screen. Try to find good moves on board and not on screen. (Our brain woks more accurately with 3d things then 2d) i know this point sounds crazy soo take it or leave it.

3rd point. Note down your moves on a piece of paper or newspaper if you can. What that does? Gives you time to understand what happened. Mostly we stare at the board like dumb and don't try to understand what happened and some people even forget what move did the opponent did just a few seconds ago.

I mean analyze your opponent moves.

And so yeah. Like it if u find thus helpful.

instructions unclear : Became unfocused when the drums music turned into base music

Here some tips that's helped me reach 434 from a 450. Take chess seriously when you already have a needy girlfriend.

Cold shower and breathing exercises improves youre focus

    OMAD, 1hr meditation, 2hr walking, 5 precepts.

Chesspage recommend writing a comment down even if it was repeated tons of times.
So I will write this down and see if other people mention the same thing:
I always listen to classical music when playing chess
Smooth jazz also works, and lyrics are fine in the context of Baroque opera.

If you play a chess game, don't go all "friendly" with your moves (even if the battle is just for fun). Pretend that the opponent is your greatest nemesis and throw anything you can at him/her.

instrumental metal during chess feels like playing doom i absolutely recommend

@ChessPage1 , $14???? Last month it was $7. Will the price of $7 come back this year or will it be $21 in a minute?

at the moment, I have 2800elo, and to become the same as me, you need:

Do push-ups 100 times a day, preferably eat more meat and of course wash 3 times a week.

When playing ask why the opponent played that move, is it a distraction or an opening for a bigger move.

    I was 12-0 yesterday till i lost
    My strategy
Dont play at night when tired
    Only 2 games a day
Play hard bots a lil above your level all day before playing somebody online
    Puzzles

Wholesome and S-tier. Just what these weak nerds need.

Make sure your asleep before 10pm and your good😊

I was a crappy player at 1200 and below elo.
I am now constantly around 1400.
changed from playing many openings to focusing on 2. (thanks to this channel for showing best 2 openning in chess, Watch the other videos to find out)
    stopped playing while watching tv
made sure I was only playing when my internet was good

Pagga slaan before the match does help as well

If you know your enemy as you know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles.

One thing I always do first is look at my opponent's past games and analyze their behavior and trends. Are they an aggressive player who goes for the kill whenever they have a chance? Would they make the king do this move under this scenario? Was it a one time mistake that they've long since learned from, or is it a recurring behavior?

Look at their past games and find out.

I watch chess shorts/videos before going focus mode to catch ideas/tactics other players may try so when an opponent tries something against me I’ve not only seen it before but usually pretty recently and can remember how to defend/attack against it

    1. Focus on one thing
    2.Think before you do it
    3. Do not get distracted
4.Wash ur face to be waken up more
    5. Read some chess books to get better

I play chess with boys in my school and they always win on me 😅 . Thanks for tips 🎉😂

My biggest mistake was getting tilted when I played badly

My winer's mode – desire for lose. ("Show me how you make win!")

I was playing the fried liver when I was in the range of 400- 800..Then I started watching Gothamchess…I picked London system for white and king's Indian for black..Now I am 1100…

I imagine that my opponent is a bot a chess bot and I'm playing without elo. That makes me feel less worried and more relaxed witch helps me focus more

I went from 1300+ to 1500+ within 1 and a half month, the only thing you need to do exercise every morning, stay hydrated, eat good foods, Take vitamin, sleep 8-9 hours, and watch chess page 1❤

Tip for long-term improvement: focus on playing similar openings like Evans gambit – fried liver – scotch gambit or king's Indian – Sicilian dragon. By forcing that every game while playing focused and analysing the ones that confused you the most, you really improve opening pattern recognition and not only you blunder less, but you are able to punish more of your opponent's blunders.

One tip that helped me focus. It was said here: play longer games. But honestly I bought a computer mouse instead of using a trackpad on my laptop so that I can draw arrows. Drawing arrows is a crazy hack for online games. Helps you visualise the win better.

After a long break of about 2-3 weeks from chess when i started playing once again my elo went by 200 in just 5 days even though i was stuck at my rating i had before the break when i started playing after break i was able to increase my elo rapidly

Don’t be intimidated by your opponent! Play the board, not the ELO!
And if you screw something up, don’t get mad at yourself. Relax, play on. It’s not the first mistake that gets you, it’s the second.

Warm up before u step in the game – said by someone
