where can I find the live results of the tournament?

Love the recap. The thought process is quite interesting.

I'm getting the feeling that the best preparation against Anna, in addition to specific lines, is to just play fast – it seems that no matter how much Anna intends to not get low on time, it's still going to happen 😛

I think Anna just played poorly being a pawn down should have just played Qf3 instead

You're so nice, but your mother won't give it a break! Even if what she says is true.

You really did make up for it with great play against Nemo.

This sounds so weird but Alex looks absolutely beautiful when her classical chess face is on.

19:27 Why doesn't her idea of Nxc5 work? Can't her King capture the remaining pawns?

Alexandra has been playing her best chess recently!

Time when used well is an extra piece.
By now people know your greatest weakness is time control. Alex is a tactician, she had decided to put you throughout the match in time trouble.
You have many matches where the outcome has been decided by this. As you well know lot of mistakes are made in time trouble. You could be the one putting the opponent in those tough spots and not the other way around ?
I love the joy you feel from chess. And how graceful you are in defeat. Sometimes you say you want to improve a lot, other times it seems you are more into having good time around chess. If you really want to improve, hire coach ? Someone fitting your personality, more easy going type, make it fun while working openings and end-games. And yes you can train to become more conscious of your time management. You have great parents, and they can help, but if your serious you get someone from outside your family.
Other suggestion – keeping it fun while learning. How about hiring known GMs to help you for a week at times. You pay the normal toll, possibly be their guest, make videos of you studying. Interesting chess content. If they are ok, then its positive exposure to them also. Your parents know many GMs.
For example if Judith Polgar would take you for a week or weekend, that would be so interesting. She probably could help you and the material of you going through tactics together would be so interesting. Her mind is different, tactics are something special, you would love it. .
    Idea ?
Oh and win over Nemo was quit something. Wow. Again your time…. But your so used to having that weighing on you that you still pulled through. She tried to do Alex on you, but it turned against her… Nonetheless you could make time your third knight, too often its your opponent who has this edge…
Good luck to the last one. 🎉

Dónde puedo ver los videos de tu mamá contentando tus videos?

Gg anyway Anna. Alex did her homework, good for her!

Imagine playing a game of chess where you spend 99% of your time just waiting for your opponent to move. 😴

You knew she was out for blood! Why oh why wouldn't you have not come with your best opening?
    😢

Yeah, I missed this game. I started watching at the end, where you had 1 minute and 30 seconds and she had 1 hour and 30 minutes or so. This was one of the recaps I was waiting for, because I didn't really want to watch a whole game everyone described as pure torture for you, lol.
I was surprised that the h4 pawn did that much damage, but I guess it was because you didn't have any good positions either. Then you didn't castle until much later, too.
I think you should get more comfortable with different openings and trust your intuition more.
But yeah, this was the recap I was waiting for.

I feel like this was revenge for Anna beating Andrea.

So what they say about blonds is true. 😛

YOU ARE A GREAT CHESS PLAYER. BE PROUD!

Always losing to lower rated players why?

Please Anna, stop saying that the idea of h3 is to prevent Bg4. The idea is to play g4 later and prevent f5 by black. After 5.Nf3, Bg4 has been played 300 times, vs 40000 castling in master games. Bg4 is hardly an idea. You are afraid of ghosts Anna.

Brilliant strategy on Alex's part. She was obviously aware of your constant struggle with the clock this tournament and incorporated that into her strategy I am assuming.

I never seen it till now but , Alex , you and your sister look alike from the side

Everyone knows that you always play g4 too early against the kings Indian…

Anna, we want the cow! Show us the cow!!!! 😂

I think there's a lot of work to be done on your game Anna! It's clear you love the game and show an aptitude for it, but the difference between 2045 and 2200 plus performances, have to be worked at.
On the plus side, you're young and have the time to study. You need to question your results and whether or not your current trainer's are a help or hindrance to your ambitions. Ideally, you need an older GM to put you through the paces required, especially for classical Chess, where a slight mistake can result in a grinding long term loss.
Ultimately of course it depends on what you want from Chess. I do think if you "knuckle down" you can reach WIM or better, but it really is all about application to the task imo. Good luck 👌

Wow…she is a silent killer! You can't see her thinking and she is so calm. Sorry you lost Anna…you gotta get that time management sorted!

…and here I spent a lot of time thinking

Whens the part where they kiss?

…oh wait, wrong comment section 😂

Anna! You MUST stop thinking for so long!!!

As they say in the horse betting circle “would have, could have, should have” in regards to a different opening. I pretty much stopped watching the stream after the early blunder.

Damn, Alex was ice cold in this video. I love ruthless Alex😀
Champion mentality. Great game by you two.

Alex wasn't playing fast as you thought, the time one player uses in his turn to move, is used by the opponent as well to think their own moves, she was just using your own time

The game after this was probably the best game of the tournament. Looking forward to the video.

The voice over videos are cool 🙂 Nice analysis from later on, when you analyze the game.

Anna, you were crushed. It happens, you move on. She’s a very strong player so no shame in this.

It was a great game. Sometimes you winning, sometimes not. That's the game. I wander if in civil live you and Alexandra are friends?

Anybody can have one really bad loss against good players. Learn from it and forget about it by thinking about moving FORWARD. And how you're better due to the adversity there. 😊

    tick, tick, tick, tick,…………. jesus!!!
