Well about 8 months ago I had no hobbies no real and social life. So I picked up chess and I sucked. I was 400 Elo and always lost to garbage openings and I wanted to give up. But then I found the video that changed my life: "WIN IN 8 MOVES | "The Fried Liver Attack"… And holy cow!! I felt like a Grandmaster!!! I quickly fought my way up and got to 800 Elo. But then I started playing a "little" obsessively because I'm home-schooled and could dump pretty much as much time as I wanted to in Chess and well I got stuck and frustrated… 800, 900, 700.. I was burnt out so I took a break. I came back and learnt how to analyze my chess games and figured out what i was doing wrong. Just like that I was back in the game and got all the way to 1200 Elo and i was proud. But then my friend and I started a wager that required us to make new accounts because he was slightly higher rated than me. I made the new account and it gave me a new rating of 1400 Elo and I was SO happy. So I can proudly say at the age of 14 I'm at 1400 Elo and dying to get higher!! p.s. don't quit!!

I sometimes play chess when my brain's fried while working in a boring job but still get a decent pay. Your videos helped me revive my chess knowledge. Thank you. I'm still not that great at chess but If you want to quit it's okay. I don't really understand sportsmanship or the pride in playing chess or why people cheat in some random games.
