What if the king doesn't go to the side but goes backwards
As a 500 rated player I will never be in this position, BUT this is one of the few chess tutorials/tips I not only understood and feel like I'll retain it. We'll see.

opposition is funny. You know what's funnier? calling your lawyer over the chess match and going OBJECTION instead.
It's not a draw when the oppositions elo is less than 1200

there are uhh cubes (im not english sorry) that are ahead of the pawn for example if the pawn is at e2 the cubes are at d4 e4 and f4 your goal is not to let the enemy king control those, opposition is the thing that doesn't allow enemy king go through, if the black king uses opposition on you thats a draw 100% (unless you have some other figures) and also at the end just try not to check so there will be no stalemate and there are 3 types of oppositions first one is if theres 1 cube between the kings second is 3 third is 5 the odd ones basically
