When the black king steps on e8 just go kc7 there's no way for the black king to block the pawn or grab it as long as it's pushed.

A King personally escorting his pawn to protect them from the opposing King and promote them into a Queen would be such a good climax to a show
Legend says the pawn is still moving
What if the enemy king moves back after an opposition or after a flank?

This doesn’t look optimal. Shouldn’t you have moved the king up when the black king was on the back rank? If not why not?

Amazing chess lesson. I knew about opposition but this gave very simple rules that can make anyone play this end game flawlessly.
