But when you play It well with Black It is always draw

a king can capture another king diagonally right? so wouldnt you be able to use your king as a bodyguard for the pawn moving up the sides? if the enemy king is on the side one or two he could capture the pawn as it goes forward, but he falls into your kings attack range.
