    Normal People: 'Hand Shake'
    Chess Player: 'Hand Dance'

I always cringe when they sit down while shaking hands too, chess players really are just bad at handshakes for some reason

Lmao i always noticed this about chess players as well, such fairy handshakes.

We could use a 🪄 magician 🎩 at every tourney to help players with their nerves.

I love how the one at the end tries to smoothly place his hand on the clock as if it was his intent all along

Chess players first human interaction in 2 years of preparing of their opponent

Those terrible, terrible terrible handshakes. Actually makes my palm itch.

hikarus handshakes: takes takes takes takes

The Fist Bump Handshake Mix up is completely understandable, and while slightly embarrassing, creates a common experience between two people. However, refusing to shake an honorable opponent's hand is disgraceful.

ah yes, the one and only part of chess i am better than a gm at lmao

Plot twist: they weren't even trying to handshake, they were just activating justu

That one try on a hand shake was about to summon the water dragon jutsu

For anyone wandering: The handshake was a traditional amongst the Trace and other ethnicities. But why well the early handshake was more towards the forearm so the can be reassured that there is no hidden blade there and after that todays variation was created because most people used their right arm to stab and while in a handshake it is very hard to stab the other person.

I like to call it "Schrödinger's Handshake" because it is both simultaneously a handshake and a fistbump.

Handshake Gambit Declined : Fistbump Variation.

When you play Chess you are at War.

I hope there's a ministry of silly handshakes

Human beings shake hands because it demonstrates that there is literally nothing up their sleeves. People used to hide daggers up their sleeves, but if you shook hands with a dagger up your sleeve, it would fall out or cut your sleeve or something.

This is the origin of a traditional greeting, as well as a classic idiom. But it's also the origin of a half-justified superstition. Left-handed people were distrusted in those days. This is because they could hide a dagger up the sleeve of their dominant hand, and even after shaking, no one would be the wiser. You can imagine that both lefties and righties, at least some of them, would want to pull such a trick. But lefties were more successful, as you can imagine. Hence the superstition.

Another theory is that handshake started as a form of veryfing the other person for any weapons, ussually when 2 prople meeted being a form of saying "Don't you actually try to kill me?". For people that don't play chess, the handshake is alwasy very easy for one person, and extremely hard for the other one

Chess players: Peace was never an option.
