I have a question for whoever can answer….. I’ve always loved chess but never played it because my friends didn’t like it. Anyways I’ve been binging these vids for the past 5 days. But why are the women’s chess separate from the men’s chess ??? Also levy is very quick to skim over the women’s rounds. What’s going on?? Yea I can google it. I want an opinion other than google

Second game black did not use the first three rows right and white did and moved his pieces up one back another into the donnas bird yes sooner or later you will move in my position playing like this which is my main line❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊

I'm not a hater, but maybe karma took something back after all that "gross grinding" from Alireza. I think a lot of people won't complain about him not doing a good tournament this time

For Nepo, Caruana is the biggest threat to candidate title race. Instead of risking a loss to him, it makes sense why he would go for a draw and try win the candidates by outperforming against other guys.

Levi never fails to make fun of 12 year olds who say "Levy never fails to…"

“We’ve sexually assaulted the Italian.” -Levy

we need to see GM Levy competing in one of these events one day.

Alireza is spending to much time on expensive clothes that makes him look like his mother dressed him for church and his 900 dollar glasses 😂😂

So the indian guy won? I don't get it. For beginners professional chess is one thing to understand – to understand the commentators and what they try to show you is another thing. Combined I get serious headaches. Going back and forth to show something is necessary – if there is a way to show the explanation moves more clearly to differantiate from the real move pls do it for noobs like me ♥ started with chess 5 weeks ago. Since then I'm binging through your and Hikarus videos. Watching old tournaments and was shocked by the Niemann-Magnus lawsuit xD

yo gothamchess I had a beutiful game can you make a video about it??(I'm 600)

I hope Gukesh wins. A humble guy and down to earth guy.

Levy never fails to do random things 🔥🔥🔥

"clock did not play a big role in this game"
my heartbeat watching the game live: 📈📉📈📉📈📉

Levy never fails to keep the pawns back for a little bit and then BWAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!

17:09 is a knight c2 and forks the queen and rook or did i miss the big picture

We desperately need a chess player in the running, or even better, a world champ who channels the Morphy or Prince Dadian vibes. I mean, sure, there's some tactics sprinkled in there, but let's be real, most of the time it's like watching a staring contest, almost boring, but not quite just rearranging pieces and not unleashing a savage attack like those old-school chess legends.

Nepo and Caruana got the 30 minutes extra each right so they played close to an hour each?

Honestly i don't like how nepo plays. He is an amazing player and has reached candidate 2 times but its no fun to watch his game. He takes no risks and i have never seen him outplay someone based on his own prep. Someone else takes a risk and nepo takes advantage of it and then comfortably sits at the top of the whole competition.

Yep, Indians have their last names first. So it would be Gujrati Vidit. But people don't care for either way, because most of the urban population do an english based job making their name last names last, to sound professional.

Levy never fails to accuse those who write in the comments that Levy never fails to do random things to be twelve-year-olds

As far as i know, the surname usually goes first. Ive spent 10 years in India, and the most confusing part was the surname,First name, middle name way your name is said as opposed to First name middle name last name.

The video shows Vidit as black and Alireza as white. But it was Vidit with W and Alireza with B.

Levy: Chess needs a World Expo, sort of an internal olympics where individuals and/or teams compete in different formats for a longer period of time. it would be a good way to get that idea of chess into the olympics started too ;-]

I'd love a second YouTube channel where Levi just posts his videos with non clickbait titles

For indians, some players have it backwards, like chinese names, some players use the traditional middle name as their first name, and most of us keep it normally.

Serious question, I’m new to chess. Why are the men and women separated?

I love GothamChess, but I want to correct one thing. It's not "men's division" and "women's division." It's "open division" and "women's division."

Gothan holding his nippis while streching 🤣🤣🐹

Vidit is his first name and Gujrathi is his last name

bro look like he didn't shower for the past month, livey u ok?

Levy never fails to mention levy never fails comments

"Going out like Korean zombie" that man is a warrior! Alexander the great messed him up tho

Despite all the hate, which I can only explain as runaway mad jealousy. Levy is for sure the more entertaining of all chess commentators.

Why do females play in their own tournament? Why don't they play against the males? I thought females were equal to males? I guest this is the "Didn't Earn It" (DEI) tournament?

I know with Praggnanandhaa, that's his given name, his family name is Rameshbabu (as evidenced by his sister having the name Rameshbabu as well). However India is something of a mix of cultures and it's possible it's not consistent between different parts of India.

Can someone explain to me the time control rules? Do the players just agree on them prior to every game or wth? Like tournament rules are tournament rules, how can you not follow them? (I am not into chess world that much)
