They might have made genius chess choices, but they were idiots in life. They also traveled extensively, ate food from everywhere, drank water from everywhere, and THAT was NOT the problem. I think this new format is absolutely amazing. When computers play each other now this is what happens. Extending this to the top players is great because it becomes more about who’s the better player not who memorized the most lines. It could be really cool if they let the community vote on different positions to make the game more engaging to an audience
