Very similar, but not quite. Thermal baths are more of a spa thing. They also often contain added minerals and notably lack chlorine. My opinion is this "controversy" is really clear.
It is well known Niemann has cheated online and then lied about the extent of his cheating. So he is clearly a cheat and a liar.
Niemann's play created another buzz in late 2023 when he scored 8/9 with a 2946 performance rating at the Tournament of Peace in Zagreb, Croatia, winning the event by three full points. Coincidentally, no proper anti-cheating measures were taken at that tournament.
Other investigations into Niemann's play keep reaching conclusions of "suspicious but nothing conclusive". Over and over.
Why can't many people see that Niemann is a cheat and a liar when he is known to be a cheat and a liar?
I think the answer for some, chess administrators, don't know how Niemann is getting his computer help. So they don't know how to put a stop to it.

Cant really say iam an avid chess fan by any stretch but even i know that Magnus dominated chess like no one ever in history……so he can do pretty much whatever he wants at this point and no one should be able to say anything….maybe he didnt play cause he looked at him funny or that his left nut was itchy that day or just because for the sole purpose of the minions to lose their shit and him to be amused…..
Magnus has been avoiding Hans for years, that's what the scandal was about in the first place. Magnus doesn't want to play Hans for the same reason he doesn't want to take an IQ test – there is nothing to gain for him, and everything to lose.
Magnus is not 3 years old Levy, he’s your father in chess , he will solo you and your entire fanbase so show some respect rather than trash talking

nobody knows the game of chess better than Magnus. so, if he doesn't want to play Niemann, pretty sure, there's a good reason why. it's personal. and no 3rd party judge would understand it better than Magnus. that's why it was the right thing to do, to throw out the lawsuit…if only to say: "i'm not qualified to judge here."
