Its not his hard work. I mean he work hard but that kind of thing is just a gift. Rest of players is waisting time, this dude is just lucky star.

2:57 has got to be the greatest thirty second clip in chess history.

And 10 years later he's still the best player in the world and one of the best of all time if not the best.

Kasparov was so mad he has to play a child lol and then he draws haha you could really tell how hurt his ego was

Don't even think that Eli Manning remotely compares to Magnus.
Being a Chess Grandmaster transcends the sport and is an exhibition of pushing human power of thought and strategy. No one can coach for you are the best. Then think about being a Grand Master like Magnus, it's another stratosphere.
A quarterback is a jock who throws a ball, he transcends nothing and it's his studiousness in memorising plays and being disciplined in his routine that helps him succeed. Nothing about that is superlative and shows genius in anyway. Its just repetition

I cried when his father said "I'm a servant". Such a caring, supportive, proud and humble dad.

Hikaru is build diffrent right now but yet magnus toyed with him back then

My obsession with chess started with watching The Queens gambit on Netflix yes also playing board game is making me really enjoy this game

eli manning? you couldnt find a better example

Eli Manning? Did he mean to say Peyton Manning?

@ 2:18 – Lol, Eli Manning? Of all the elite quarterbacks in the NFL at the time that he could have named (Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, Drew Brees, Matthew Stafford, Aaron Rodgers), he compares the number 1 Chess player in the world… to Eli Manning.

    Just…. huh?

Funny how he starts walking around and watching others play, after he makes move in his own game.

When you see Magnus thinking like its almost scary…

What an amazing father, hopefully I’ll be lucky enough to be such an incredible father aswell

    γ€Š 𝕱𝕢-π–›π–Žπ–Šπ–œπ–Ÿγ€‹ says:

    Bro is playing telepathic chessπŸ’€

Magnus's smile is same as it was when he was a child!

Bobby Fisher wasn't a mad man.
A lot of what he said then is slowly coming out.
He exaggerated a lot maybe but the only thing crazy to me is how quickly the media can paint someone crazy

I had a rating of around 2200 2300 back in July 2019 on lichess..
I quitted chess and moved to competitive programming instead…
Playing chess is addictive but a total waste of time if you are not making a profession out of it

Magnus Carlsen is a sore loser who, when can't handle being defeated by a lower rated oponent, will accuse him of cheating without proof.

One time in 4th grade I played chess against an autistic kid and he slid all the pieces off the the table and stomped on it when he lost

I think he has a future in chess! Possibly could even up being one of the best if he continues to play!

Whoever named this segment evidently does not understand that Mozart, while a technical genius, is cheesy.

Hmmm he's rather the Salieri of chess, as it turns out.

Nobody can explain how he does what he does? πŸ‘€

Eli Manning?! Hardly the Mozart of football, this video is a joke!

What if we just experienced the beginning of his downfall? With the cheating accusation of Niemann after losing – being the start of craziness, like Fischer at the end? Think of it.

I'm so glad Kasparov got humbled after making a 13 year old wait for him, not saying hello and so happz Magnus didn't hide the fact that he was bored.

Hans Niemann doesn’t have a video because chess speaks for itself

The end is brilliant. "Magnus hates to lose, so he doesn't." πŸ˜€

omg ahaha both Magnus & Hikaru make the exact same facial expressions still

I can explain it to you how Magnus does it. Beads
