I watched the first 3 games live but then fell asleep. Levy's recap of game 4 was the first time I had heard of who won, and wow, congrats, Ding Liren!

I watched this live, and Oh, My, God. The last match evaluation bar going up and down like crazy is nothing compared to the heartbeat, seeing all those brilliancy and blunders. And Ding won, washes all the tense with a burst of dopamine. It's simply perfect

It’s like watching sports highlights but more fun
I feel like Ian played better throughout the whole tournament but every time it mattered he made mistakes. It's like he could never fully focus enough, be it in rapid or classical. The games were great and it's clearly not easy winning this, but i still feel like Ian had it, multiple times. Easy to say behind my screen I know.

Honestly it makes sense Ding did not want repitition when he blocked with rook G6. He had two passed pawns and therefore he knew Ian would need to play flawless to get the draw.
