I swear the title changed, levy had to reimburse everyone who didn't get +500 elo
At 14:00 cant he take the pawn with the bishop and then fork the queen🤣
2:15 That was a good punziani
7:19 you can't keep the pawns.. en passant is forced
I love that Levy changed the title after everyone bullied him for saying you’d gain 500 elo. Like y’all are brutal. As an 800 myself, the Ponziani is a killer opening. I’ve gotten so many bishops based on people who don’t know how to play it
Lost 40 point , am sure this strategy is not for me, i used another strategy from your channel to move up about 60 point , so i cant say much , probably i have been playing too much , fatigue set in , and you lose . XD
Thanks bro can't wait to face nothing but this for the next 2 weeks lol
Only People with brain cells will know the title is changed
I have been going with the ponziani for about 4 months, and I've always told my friends that is was secretly cracked and nobody notices. Turns out I was right. I'm about 850 ELO rn, and I expect this vid could help raise that.
Please do more beginner chess opening videos. And some of us subs from different countries dont have chess as a really known game but you've made me appreciate it and now I want to be better but I don't know how.
Honestly I'm just horrible at learning openings cause my memory sucks although it does look rlly good
what if my opponent are 0 Elo kids who literally won't match with pawns but instead move the pawn next to the one they should move only 1 square. Literally everyone does this its annoying
Why did you change the title?
Any other tips? I need helps only 400 elo😅
7:12 But broo… en passant is forced… 😉
U look like a pwn in utubez cog
And he sacrifices THE NATURAL DEVELOPING SQUARE OF HIS KNIGHT
I just played this and demolished my opponent. The two centre pawns were never in danger and I dominated for the whole game.
Eric rosen would be proud
Wow… i tried this and it actually worked! Nice stuff
I always thought that the best beginner opening is the London. Who doesn't like the closed positions and shuffling pieces back and forth?
6:24 one could argue that maybe this 2800 is amazing at rapid and longer games and just isnt as great at blitz
Clicked a GothamChess video, accidentally got an Eric Rosen opening lesson.
the irony that i just searched the ponziani after seeing his ponziani trap reel on insta and this video got released 😭
Video came out today, watched it 3 times because I dont rember the 4th move💀
I do Vienna gambit, E4, Nc3, F4, they take F4 with the pawn on E5, then I go D4, advancing the pawn and attacking F4 with the bishop, capture with bishop, advance other knight, now I'm further developed and can castle at will.
The ponziani countergambit is quite a shock to encounter, really dubious
Day 2 of asking Levy to do a 100-1000 elo speedrun
Bless You
i see the title of this video and the intro and i was like "this better not be about the wayward queen opening"
7:15 No, en passant is forced
Uh oh I abused to ponziani for too long now all the beginners know it GG time to learn a new one
Hey levy! I’m now a midget YouTuber and I would like to play with you sometime (even though I would get destroyed (250 elo))
i still dont get it
Video 10 of asking levy to go on a new account and grind up to 1800
Thank you levvie for getting me from 2400 elo to 400 elo 😀😃😄🥳🥳😉🙂😏
Why you changed the video name?
Levy: "don't play f6"
Sub: "ok"
plays ke7
im that person that would find a way to lose as white while trying to win… xd
Hey I played an amazing game today and i want to send it to Levi so he can put it in a video where should I sent him the game
what the hell you copied from Tomasz Jaskółka
If you are not taking professional games im moving to agadmagator.
Thanks Levy, now I need to wait to play chess again, because all guys on my level will be using it for incoming two weeks.
5:28 Me: WOW
Levy: Aren't you glad you clicked on this video?
Me: Oh yeah!
THE FIRST 5 MOVES IS WHAT I ALWAYS DO AND IVE NEVER RLY PRACTICED OPENONG LOL
Every opening video you upload makes the opening unplayable because every single player I've played with it has known the best line
I thought it was pawnziani
the amount of videos with "gain 500 elo" I watched will now add up to 3800, so am I now stockfish?
watched this 5 times and FIDE just contacted me saying my GM title is in the mail. Thanks Levy
I quite like the Ponziani. Nice to see it getting some attention. I’ve played it in 8 serious games, even ones that I was pushing for a win. Which, okay, that seems maybe slightly odd because the computer says that black can easily equalize.
But I think that even with that, it’s not so easy to prove that black has anything, especially, in my opinion, if they play d5 and f6. Very often, you can just keep their king stuck in the center. I’ve had that happen multiple times in games online and OTB. Actually, the best game I ever played had that happen. I was white in the Ponziani against an IM, so I was lower rated than him at the time. I restricted his kingside development so much that he couldn’t castle kingside, and he had thrust almost all of his queenside pawns forward. They were overextended and castling queenside would have been a nightmare. I was threatening to bust open the center with his king still in it, so he had to play Kf7 and Kg8, completely blocking in his rook. In the chaos that ensued, I sacrificed a knight (couldn’t be taken), a rook (couldn’t be taken), then my queen (which could’ve been taken but wasn’t), then I forced my rook down his throat to deflect his off the d-file, and then I found an absolutely brutal queen sacrifice that led to a mate in 9 in which I would have sacrificed both knights. So I would have had a rook and a bishop left in the end position. Definitely the most complicated position I ever had. I’m just glad I navigated through all the chaos well.
I’m going to actually include a line here that you didn’t mention. You went over the 3. …d5 lines. But with 3. …Nf6, black has an absolutely disgusting move that can get white into a lot of trouble. And, it’s completely engine backed.
1. e4 e5 2. Nf3 Nc6 3. c3 Nf6 4. d4 Nxe4 5. d5, and here, black can actually just play 5. …Bc5. Am absolutely insane move. The continuation should go 6. dxc6 Bxf2+ 7. Ke2 Bb6 8. Qd5 Nf2 9. Rg1 O-O 10. cxb7 Bxb7 11. Qxb7 Qf6 12. Qd5…. You read all of that right. Black sacrifices not one, but two pieces to attack your king. And the computer says that this position is completely equal, meaning that black has proven that he has compensation for the two pieces. If you can stave off the attack, though, you will be completely winning. But it’s very difficult for both sides, because there are many situations where you have to find only moves. Very few people would actually find Bc5, but just tread lightly. The Ponziani can be a treacherous position for both sides. But, hey, if players like Ljubojevic ventured to play it against Karpov, it can’t be that bad.
