00:00 Hello Everyone!
Norway Chess is a 10-player round-robin featuring Top 5 stars Magnus Carlsen, Alireza Firouzja and Hikaru Nakamura taking place in Stavanger, Norway from 30 May to 9 June. Each of the 9 rounds consists of a classical game where a win is worth 2 points and a loss 0. If the players draw they play an Armageddon game, where the winner earns 1.5 points and the loser 1 point. No draw offers are allowed before move 30.
The 3+2 blitz opener takes place on Monday 29th and will give the winners the chance to pick their pairing numbers for the main event. The classical time control is 2 hours for all moves, with a 10-second increment per move only after move 40. For Armageddon White (the same player who had White in the classical game) has 10 minutes to Black’s 7, with a 1-second increment from move 41. Black wins if the game ends in a draw. A tie for 1st place will be decided by two 3+2 blitz games followed, if necessary, by a 5 vs. 4-minute Armageddon game. Official website: norwaychess.no

Dang imagine playing a brilliant game against Magnus with a queen sacrifice and losing to him when he has 1 second left
Months of playing completely lost openings as a joke against other GMs in random online tournaments has prepared Magnus so well for games like this. He is excels at defending and even winning completely lost positions in a way no other person can.
Carlsen is a petty ordinary player … he wins 90 percent of the game by opponent blunder.. he will not survive a low level engine … Nakamura on the other hand is a beast beating stockfish , Leela, and almost everything on demand …
Man, that heavy lesbian is really good at chess. I wonder if it'll hold after she starts estrogen injections and can't stop thinking about her army of cats.
This match proves that time pressure makes a GM into an amateur
Intense game, but Magnus wins from a ‘losing position’ again …. (Perhaps Magnus is a Norse Cat …. Nine lives ? ). Thks Agadmator.
Sad that we can’t get single game with an Indian player without insufferable Indian nationalists ruining all discourse
So bad for the finale, but incredibly beautiful game! Props to Gukesh for Queen sac against Magnus!
Brave Gukesh, he was one step ti victory.
Minor point. It was a sac of the queen for 2 minor pieces not a rook and minor. It was a great idea nonetheless. Much less common sac than a rook and minor.
When Gukesh took the b5 pawn he had to have planned the exchange sac as the rook is trapped. Nd7 by magnus sets up c6 wining the rook. Gukesh might have had this in mind when he played a4. The depth of calculation and positional evalutation of these guys is incredible
Tari again lost.
For those saying he missed this, he missed that — he had like 4 sec for last few moves
Interesting that modern GMs have followed the c3/b4 idea of Harry Bird from the 19th Century.
A Botez Gambit in a high level game takes everyone off-guard, especially the player who makes the move.
I swear, it feels like Magnus is NEVER ahead going into the endgame. Always even or losing. And yet somehow he always manages to grind out a position and keep it alive long enough to recover/find a way past these other superGMs. Just terrifying.
12:12 I always thought Rapport was Hungarian, not romanian? or am I wrong here?
😲 Gukesh pushing Magnus to the limit but once again the GOAT show why he is who he is
Queen sacrifice or big blunder
Magnus really is a shadow of the player he was a few years ago .
Nice tumbnail pict magnus😄
DOMMARAJU! I'VE COME TO BARGAIN!
Classic Agadmator, title is queen sacrifice, then lost
Fabi going for the wcc
#Suggestions Please check out Peter Svidler Vs Vidit and Nigel Short Vs Raunak Sadhwani happening in Nagpur. Some brilliant games
Always tough playing the current world champion.
Magnus Not in his best form
Why has the dog disappeared from the videos ?
9:19 9 10 19 10 2x5s cheeky me😅
Shame on you Gukesh on lost winning game.
Gukesh had problem in time trouble the same thing happened with Chess Olympiad with Nodirbek Abdulsattrav
Magnus is not in his prime form.. giving chances to opponent.. disappointed!!
Queen for rook is not a queen sacrifice, it's a major exchange sacrifice, don't clickbait
5:28 he plays rook d2
Classical???
Gukesh caught magnus off guard !! Would have beaten if he had the time . Chess is great with games like these !! Gukesh has a bright future
Pawn to e6 thanks Agadmator I so wish Gukesh had found that move not that I saw it myself but I’m wondering how difficult would it have been to spot pawn to e6 at that point he had his other pieces working great in tandem with each other Bishop knight Rook (Shame) 🤔🫣🤗 but ok Great effort Gukkie
Magnus the best as always 💪
Can I just say your use of idiomatic English is so impressive – phrases like 'picks off the rook' are so pleasing to hear from a non-native speaker. I wish my French was this good.
More titles + thumbnails like these please🙏🏿, were the outcome is not already spoiled. It's far more enjoyable to watch with anticipation.
Edit: Antonio, I'm not saying I mind even the positions on the thumbnail as I've explained to someone in the comments, that since those are usually on right side, you could just ignore it before watching if you prefer 0 spoilers. But those who wanted to analyse could do so too, win win. So there was always a balance in those titles+thumbnails that satisfied both sides. But that balance has now tilted to one side in the past few videos, and the 0 spoilers gang have no sanctuary anymore.
Why Indians are so weak in chess.. shame
You did quite well, but you need more training to defeat me.
2nd: magnus cheats anish in round 7 superbet blitz

2016 WCC – This is relevant to the 2023 WCC.
Please agad cover the other decisive game of the Sergey Karjakin vs Magnus Carlsen 2016 WCC #suggestion
What happened is that Magnus lost to Sergey AS WHITE in Game 8 but then compensated for a white loss with A WHITE WIN in Game 10. This is what happened to Liren Ding & Nepo for Games 2 & 4 of 2023 WCC.
Why doesn't a drawn match go to the player w/ more black wins (if any) s.t. Sergey Karjakin not Magnus Carlsen is 2016 WCC & Ian Nepomniachtchi not Liren Ding is 2023 WCC?
This has happened BEFORE!
1
2022 Accentus Chess960
Vincent Keymer and Nodirbek Abdusattorov both finished with 5.0/7 and tied first. However, as Keymer won more games with Black, he won the tournament on tiebreak.
2
1980 – 1981 candidates tournament
'When the quarterfinal between Portisch and Spassky was tied after 14 games, Portisch was declared the winner because he had won more games with Black.'
Actually maybe cover the only 2 decisive games here if not already? #suggestion
3
1983-1984 candidates tournament
It wasn't repeated! The premise was the same! Hübner had more black wins than Smyslov before tiebreaks. After tiebreaks were tied, a ROULETTE determined Symslov won!!
Actually maybe cover the only 2 decisive games here if not already? #suggestion

Other suggestions in women's chess
A – Was Kg6 in Dina's 1st GM slaying game in Reykjavik sexism? Like looking down on Dina?
B – Anna Cramling's dad beats Mikhail Tal. #suggestion
C – Philippine women's chess #suggestion – WGM Janelle Frayna, the female Wesley So, upset Georgian GM (really GM not just WGM) Bela Khotenashvili at the 2022 world blitz.
There's a 13-move UNDERPROMOTION puzzle here.

For some reason none of the Philippine channels except Kelvinllovejr even cover this game. LOL. But Janelle did cover the game where e drew against Nemo, so maybe Janelle will cover this game later on.
P.S. Please help get Wesley So on Lex Fridman's podcast. See

Magnus cheated Alireza, and Fabi's Jewish right? Some Iranians say Alireza (and Mohammadreza?) Firouzja is a traitor to Iran. (Source: xbw4kx ) I have no idea if that's true (anyone have ideas?), but:
Bobby Fischer would agree with me.
What do Daniil & Hikaru have in common? Both betray their country for Magnus.
Hikaru Nakamura is almost as evil as the Hikaru in Oshi no Ko. Magnus Carlsen is almost as evil as Light Yagami.
T0 – Now, Daniil & Hikaru are traitors for Magnus but not Norway, which was never the villain. Magnus is the villain (but not a supervillain like Hans Niemann. cf Megamind).
T1 – Hikaru Nakamura is a traitor to the US for BASELESSLY siding with Magnus Carlsen over fellow American Hans Niemann.
There's an episode of American Dragon Jake Long where Jake is accidentally sold by h friends. Here, Hans is intentionally sold by h compatriot. (Hans is Jake. Rotwood is Magnus.)
American Dragon Jake Long
Meet
American Traitor Hikaru Nakamura.
They're both Americans of East Asian descent. Lol.
T2 – Daniil Dubov is a traitor to Jews & Russians for siding with Magnus over fellow Jewish Russians Ian Nepomniachtchi & Sergey Karjakin in the 2021 WCC.
T3 – Will you be surprised if Daniil & Hikaru change federations to Norway?
T4 – Garry Kasparov cheated fellow Jew Judit Polgar in the 1994 Linares.
This makes Garry
T4.1 – a traitor to Jews since Judit is Jewish
T4.2 – necessarily not GOAT / MTOAT because you can't be valedictorian if you cheated
T4.3 – a mentor of Magnus Carlsen who similarly cheated Alireza Firouzja, Daniel Danya Naroditsky & Ian Nepo Nepomniachtchi.
SAYNOTO2900 GOD BLESS AMERICA.
T5 – Also some Americans or Philippine people / Filipinos / Filipinas are traitors if they don't consider Wesley So the REAL world champion for the period 2019Nov – 2023Mar. (Kidding…sort of.)
– T5.1 – Or worse, they consider Wesley So a traitor for moving to the US when Eugene Torre supports the decision which was practically forced due to the corruption of Philippine chess president Prospero Pichay Jr who was somehow re-elected in 2022 July despite being convicted of graft in 2022 June. Probably the same reason Arianne Caoili (Levon Aronian's dead spouse) left the Philippines for Australia. Try telling Levon that Arianne was a traitor.
– T5.2 – Oh also 1 person did tell me e didn't like Wesley So because of what Wesley So said to h bio mom Leny So. Leny So & Prospero Pichay are HUGE traitors to Philippine chess. F()K LENY SO. F()K PICHAY. Also Leny So said to Wesley So 'putang ina mo.' Wesley So's response: 'Kinda funny that.' LOL.

Wesley So is like Bobby Fischer in a good way. Magnus is like Bobby Fischer in a bad way.
Bobby Fischer would agree with me.
SAYNOTO2900 GOD BLESS AMERICA
Why are Magnus and Garry compared to Bobby Fischer? Can you be valedictorian if you cheated in school?
– Garry Kasparov cheated Judit Polgar in the 1994 Linares.
– Magnus Carlsen cheated Alireza Firouzja (2019 blitz WCC), Danya Naroditsky (2021 & 2022 lichess) and Ian Nepomniachtchi (2021 WCC).
Wesley So is like Bobby Fischer in a good way:
W1 – Each 'is a prodigy, had a rather dark childhood and is American', but they have great moms. (This also applies Beth Harmon and Hans Niemann.)
W2 – Betrayed by their home country, they got citizenship elsewhere.
W3 – 1st American world champions: Bobby was 1st American-born WCC. Wesley So is 1st WC (and played for the US at the time but wasn't citizen until 1.5 years later).
W4 – Unjustifiably lose their world titles 3 years after gaining them because FIDE was favouring a European over them.
W5 – Hate chess and love 9LX.
W6 – Have a lot of friends from the Philippines including Eugene Torre and Lotis Key.
W7 – Met a corrupt president in the Philippines. Bobby met Philippine president Ferdinand Marcos Sr. Wesley So met NCFP president Prospero Pichay Jr.
W8 – Correctly accuse Tigran Petrosian of cheating.
Magnus is like Bobby Fischer in a bad way:
M1 – Ra()st against Americans & Jews (source: ZS4ZPF )
– M1.1 – (Bobby is kinda like Sergey Karjakin though: Has the 'right' to discriminate in the sense that they're born the nationality they're discriminating against. What's Magnus' 'right'? Magnus can discriminate only against Norwegians and maybe gentiles.)
M2 – Likes 9LX but never really played it
M3 – Is mentally unhealthy
M4 – Unrelated: European citizens of Nordic countries. Beat a Russian in their last WCC which was controversial: Magnus cheated Nepo, and Bobby resigned a game.

As Brilliant as Gukesh has been playing that’s totally surprising he missed his chance at Checkmating I’d love to hear his reaction and how he felt about the missed opportunity Great Game by Gukesh and Great Effort Thanks Agadmator enjoy your day as well
Fighting chess. We are happy.
Oh. So close but Magnus voodoo keeps his opponents from the right moves sitting in front of them.
Sometimes your intuition can deceive you
Dangerous with even 1 second on the clock! Cobra Carlsen. 🐍
Why not flag Magnus?
Okay, so I'll admit the Vikings originally came from Norway (and later spread to Sweden and Denmark). But in Sweden we have the Dala-horse and we invented the word "Fika" that means to eat between meals. We also makes Ockelbo snowmobiles!
