Congratulations GM Carlsen, another achievement. 🙄🤔💼🤔

so, Ding fought for the 8th place and won!

Exemplary tournament… forget FIDE and all.. this is how chess competitions should be organized and spread

"Damn, backwards moves". When Magnus says that, we can instantly feel much better for our own play.

Someone help me. Why not Queen to c1 checkmate?

"I wanted to write orang utan but I did Not want to offend somebody" rofl

Ding is shame for chess, fake champ.

The goat debate must be set in stone now

Too bad Fischer didn't get to enjoy this. Oh what could have been.

Best best best tournament ever! Loved it. Want more.

I will never understand why the analysis board is filling my screen and the actual board is the size of a dime while the players are actually actively making moves??

Now that the coverage is over, got to praise Peter as one of the best hosts. His flow of commenting on chess stuff, openings, insight and some historic callbacks is really so enjoyable to listen to while the game is on. Also Niclas was such a fresh air, and on a high note, his chess insight on "translating" the engine moves into human intuition was phenomenal.

Thank you to the whole crew and cast for an extremely lovely event. Everyone was fabulous! The event was top notch and warms this old patzers hearr. I call for 960 ratings! Long live Fischer!

How to determine the GOAT if you don't invite all the strong players? What a frickin joke

Loved the tournament, but also the best ceremony I've seen in any chess event.

Greatest of all time Magnus Carlsen.
    Without a doubt.

i like that they converse with each other when its over

This whole event was a huge unexpected treat throughout.

Previously haven't enjoyed freestyle, but I'm converted, fascinating look forward to seeing more

peter is freaking awesome to listen to.

I wish these two commentated every tournament

These commentators are excellent. They are very informative and playful and you can tell they actually like each other. Well done, Peter, Tania, and Nicholas!

4:21:38 who’s she? She is also wearing a nice dress during the ceremony

That prize ceremony is such a disgrace 😂

what is the point in writing down moves w.r.t such a random position?

Peter is great. Otherwise they completely dropped the ball by switching to a meaningless game instead of remaining with Magnus-Fabi. They should have spent some of the prize money on programmers. A technical mess overall. Lots of improvement needed.

Peter and every other chess pro: Let's nerd out endlessly over the positions in these other meaningless games.
    Everyone else: Just show Magnus.

Peter Leko is OK except for "moster" this or that, "absolutely" "masterpiece" and similar. But who selected this truly stupid woman? Constantly blabbing nonsense.

that was a super fun event to follow throughout the week thank you !!!

great tournament, great coverage with great hosts
    keep on going!!!

As a novice I find it weird to hear the announcers refer to the “king side” and “short castling” since it doesn’t really match what is on the board.

What a great event! I really enjoyed the streams. Of course there is room for improvement – there always is. But Peter, Niklas and Tania did an amazing job. The venue looked great, lots of innovations aswell. What a treat to see players discuss their boards together in advance!
A bit less Jan Büttner maybe – everything is highly appreciated, but the nobility doesnt need the spotlight. Chess is the key and his goal should be to bring it back to the spotlight. This will shine enough on him anyway.

Man follow up this tournament and was so fun, i explained to my father who introduced me to chess and he was so excited to see the tournament with this format, hope this keep on going.

Why are all 8 players playing in the finals? Why is the live board so small? Why is it not written how wins, points, and so on are calculated? Do the tournament players know how they can win in this tournament system? Why do I need to know which shack the tournament is being held in? Why are the players so sad, what have you done to them? Everyone knows that Magnus is the best player in the history of chess, why ask about it? Is this a fide rating transfusion tournament for Magnus? Hikaru didn't show up at the tournament because he refused to transfer his rating to Magnus? As well as other top players in the world? Why did you only analyze Magnus's games from the very beginning? Do you think Spassky or Fischer approved of such a tournament? Why is the best of two games in the final, and not the best of 10 games? 2 games in the finals and goat is it related?

Are there certain 960 positions that give white greater advantage on move 1?

Good production, looks like a great setup for the players there, and it’s so nice to see a refreshing format that I’m sure the players can really enjoy.

Huh. Looks like those tips I gave you came in handy Magnus.

Cant imagine the mental fortitudethat is needed to calculate these lines. Well done! This was very interesting to watch.
