24:00 I was watching him and I actually felt bad… I can't even imagine being in the most important competition of my life and just freezing like that. It was sad and I hope he does recover from this.

It's a shame for a world championship game and match to be potentially decided by a player freezing up in a winning position. Yes a world champion needs to know how to keep composure but it is not nice to see someone lose in this fashion.

Nepomniachtchi was like oh, I've got my order at the door.

I joined the livestream of this game and someone in the chat wrote: "stockfish says -0.1 so Ding is winning". I just burst into laughter after that for some reason.

    Part 1 – upto 800
    Part 2 – from 1200 and above
    1000 to 1199 Players : I have no aim in life… I am destroyed

Probably Ding mentally doesn't consider himself as potential champion🤔

so sad, Ding seems like a nice guy while Nepo meh not that much

About the opening, the commentators were saying that Ding used to play a lot of french defense when he was young and Ding himself said at the press conference that he thought about playing it a day before.

It's kinda sad for Ding, but what is sad for me – is that most people favor Ding over Ian, but Ian is a great player and a great guy. I feel like he doesn't get the credit he deserves.

how many !! do you want on the thumbnail?
    levy: yes

I woke up exactly at the moment when Ding had the 0.7 advantage and thought: “well, a tough game for Ian, both are 10 on the clock, the 40th move’s coming tho. Gonna be a couple hours more of good chess.”
Got to brush my teeth only to come back and realize that Ding hasn’t made a single move thus far. And at this moment I realized that he’s fucked.

Notice that they don't play one opening twice in this match. Yan play for black in the next game so I bet we will see the Russian game next time. He played it in a few games in candidates match so I'm sure they are going to play it soon

David Goggins is the toughest man alive 🙂

Congratulations on your book that’s amazing news Levy. They should add your chess title to the cover 🥳

Good use of the word Cornucopia. Of course, I pre-ordered the book.

knight takes f4 is just insane, there are so much variation

Every loss that Ding suffers seems a hundred times more heartbreaking than the last one. Like gotham said, if Ding can bounce back from this, he's the toughest man but I think he story will be same as what last championship after game 6.

Can anyone tell me where I can watch this championship live?

White was winning for the start after he played horse at e5 threaten a fork on the black queen, and the rock he had alot of nasty combination even after black protected d7 with the other rock

im so excited for this book :D, i convinced my parents to preorder it even though we havent heard much about it 🙂

Gotham: french players know they shouldn't do this
Also Gotham: So anyway, Ding did it

Time pressure &stake of game is really amazing

The idea of putting QR codes in the book to load puzzles and lessons in genius. Well done!

can i have the book in north korea? …jk((

I just realize no wonder Magnus tired doing this WCC shit for 10 straight years, i mean look at Ding dude just froze looking at the board bc he simply can't decide what to do

I was shouting at my screen "MOVE !! DO SOMETHING !! CLOCK !!" like a mad man when Ding froze. What a wild & sad ending for Ding. Bounce back hopefully the next one

On yesterday's stream levy said that the French was one of the worst openings but now all of a sudden he had a good game with it and a super GM plays it? I'm getting suspicious.

One could argue that this is already one of the greatest world chess championship matches of all time. Four decisive games in a row with brilliancies and plot twists in every single game. It’s easily the best time to be a chess player ever.

This is what I love about Levy. He accurately captures the drama of what transpired. What an insane WCC!

I wrote a book. It's called "How to lose THE GAME"

Wow! What a performance that just came up short on the clock. In hindsight, the play was for a draw with 11 minutes to get those moves in, but he went for it and then the nerves set in.

Levy man you wrote a book 📖 bro come to Cincinnati I want one lol

I am just wondering why is the world champions only between two people and not many people. Im pretty new with this so i dont know much.

I thought Ding was winning but he didn’t make the correct move in 5 minutes makes me feel so sad.😢😢 This is so depressing.

Are you going to translate it to Russian?
