Why this kid look like AJ from The Sopranos

What does that Fischer quote mean? "The pawn and the king go back into the same box".

As someone once joked: One day when Agad is in his sixties, he will record a video with a grandchild on his lap, and state that "It is now as of move 250 that we have a new game".

Well, at least he’s not a “Grand Wizard” this time 😂

    Congrats Ediz! Great performance!

Ediz büyük ustam saygılar başarılar 👏

I’m kind of surprised his opponent resigned I’d like to know how he planned on promoting the passed pawn on b2 guarded by the White Rook on b1 the white king seemed to have better board position to help the Rook out Black had the other pawn on h5 but white also had pawn on g3 White King on f5 Black king on g7

Get a load of this Turkey.

    It's pronounced TURK!

That photo of Korobov is the BEST portrait of a GM. It's a renaissance painting!

why quote Bobby Fischer when he was a known fascist? i mean, at least be honest and quote him calling for the extermination of all Jews. you know, unless you prefer to rewrite history and act as though fascists from the US were somehow heroes because they played chess well.

I had a bad feeling once I saw Korobov's King after the castling. I didn't understand the resignation as I saw an equal endgame draw.

It really is a big deal for a 15 years old IM to defeat Anton, especially with the black pieces. Ediz had an overall performance rating of 2711 in the event, which clearly states a lot for the great things wait for him in his career.

Thanks for sharing another wonderful game

I love Korobov and his style, but his opponent was a worthy winner!

Congratulations Ediz. He did as expected.

Love seeing fresh blood levelling up in front of our eyes! Congrats to Ediz!

Ediz Gurel looks a lot like Nate, chesss prodigy from House M.D. series S3.E23 The Jerk, played by actor Nick Lane. 🙂

Korobov's pointed index finger touching his chin was edited out of the photo, as was the red rose in his mouth.

@6:16 why on earth wouldn't white win an exchange with 1. Nxc6 here???

I wondered if there was a statistic for moves played versus rating gain? I wonder if there are statistics for how many actual moves a player makes throughout a year? I thought I might ask as I am aware of your vast knowledge.

Congratulation’s to the young man Ediz Gurel I know his opponent resigned I wonder though how Black would’ve gone about promoting the pawn in that situation if the game had continued ? Nice win and Hopefully we’ll see more from Ediz going against the elite GMs Thanks for the Game Agadmator Enjoy your day

You speak so fast some words are unable to understand.. this game could have gone more

Ediz withstood the sustained attack very resiliently and turned the tide around in the end game. Congrats to the new Turkish prodigy.

Thank you for covering our newest grandmaster.

Ediz Gurel already inspire the turkish junior kid He is a such humble, good person Like a real Grandmaster
