I play the Pirc with black, so the first game is very familiar to me.
Saw the game and Levy you don't give yourself enough credit! I think you're a GM in hiding. That aside, I think this format makes for the most interesting format for Chess competition. I hope it continues.

It was funny today I had a very similar position to game 2, where I put my king on h2 and was obliterated by pretty much exactly what Levy & Hikaru described.

The best team was obvius anish and danny. Anish did bring a lot more funny moments then your match. It was okei but you did not talk a lot and it was little jokes minimal action. All about not blundering instead of playing the best moves
Jordan in first game saw rook a3 but he could have played it 20 moves earlyer and acctualy had some pressure so he could choose what to play and hikaru just think move order dont matter but thats how you can grow your advantage. Ik its hard and its hikaru but lately in turnament with Magnus he has done horrible. Its fabi thats played well. Last months I have not followed Bundesliga and heard he had moveorder issue so mby they can play the best moves and win 🙂
Yee knigth c3 I was yelling at the tv becouse its not that hard move too find and i did not Get why they did not see it. You can see queen h2 check does not work yet so make it work. It was so obvius move. You are under serius pressure why the fuck did you not show it. Again it was not Harder than any 3000 rated pussle

Hi Levy. I'm guessing this has already been done before in chess, but what about a game where there are 2 players on a team and 1 player makes a move and then the 2nd player, independently, makes the next move and so on and so on. Was thinking you could introduce some sort of handicap where for instance you could have a really strong grandmaster and a novice on the same team versus 2 reasonably strong players. Anyway big fan and love your videos.

I know the primary factor of these team match-ups that most people will enjoy is the banter between the players, as in the giri/rensch vs fabi/cristian match, which had a lot of funny stuff because everyone had good chemistry. But from a gameplay perspective it's kind of silly–like as in this match with naka/levy, where is there is absolutely no chemistry and the stronger player is the one essentially making all the moves and levy is just a glorified text to speech. To make it more interesting I think they should just do a hand/brain kind of thing–to at least give the lower rated teammate more leverage in the games.
