You got to get back into more competitive chess. Your maturity and knowledge of the game has gone through the roof the last 3 years. Say what you want about the titans of the game but you have played a major role in putting chess on the map for a lot of people. Yeah, for me listening to a strong player while feeling awe for their superior ability is a typical afternoon watching chess, but listening to Hikaru patiently explaining concepts to make them sound simple was simply astonishing. It was like wondering what the world looks like to him because it's not the same world that I see.

I posted this under the raw vid of the event on Hikaru's channel, but will say this here too. While at time you seemed like you were feeling a little timid (I can't imagine the pressure of playing with Hikaru and trying to find ways to contribute) and while Hikaru was mostly driving the ship on ideas, there were a very large number of spots where you had first instincts that were dead on correct for the best move in a position, and some where your instinct on a move was the only move in a position to keep advantage (I am a terrible chess player, I was just following the games on an analysis board, stockfish approved of a lot of your ideas). You should trust those instincts more.
This was SO SWEET LIVE !! It’s been years to see a collab between you two and I haven’t been able to watch one since I fell in love with chess. Truly phenomenal

chess should learn from go; we have rengo, or pair go, where each player takes a turn playing a move WITHOUT consulting their teammate. Much more interesting and both players have to contribute.
A more appropriate title would be, "Cheating on Magnus with Hikaru"

I think the tournament would be a more interesting concept if it was the same style pairings. The difference, instead of open communicatons between the better and worse players, the better player can, non verbally, tell you if the position is good, bad, sharp, or it's gg. 3 times, the higher rated player can join voice chat for 10 seconds to voice an idea!
