Hey Gotham, I'm 1000 ELO chess in rapid and at 14:14 I think you should have played f5, attacking the rook because if rook takes the e2 pawn, we can take the rook on e4 with a pawn, our opponent cannot take us because it is pinned and so forced to trade or simply trade a rook for a pawn, I saw it in 2 seconds so you can't say that I had time to think about it, do you agree with this idea? Because being a rook vs pawns endgame starting off with a check is very pleasing to see, besides, a 2v1 is incredibly hard to win, especially with rooks only

This video is just for me. I was in great shape, going up to 1500, gets to the 1478 and after that I was going only down, now I'm 1350 and Im just feeling too stupid, I'm feeling like I cant beat nobody
When I play, it's like whoever I play against is always taking "every single" take. They never sit on it and let a game develop. Just bam and I'm out.
Is it possible to reach 2000 in one year I am 1200 😢

at 1.17.10 why is bishop h8 better than queen c7 and then bishop c5? youd definetly get a check and the same target, the eney black bishop and your queen controlling a lot of squares in the center.
Didn't realize it was an hour vid until I was 2 games in… Gotham got me.
I'm 1800 in long time formats but just 1000 in blitz. I'm not horrible if I have time to think/calculate but it all breaks down if I have to play quickly.
I realize the vast majority of your viewers are probably a couple of light years ahead of me and may prefer other formats, but this kind of video helps me far more than any recap can. Thank you so much!

This is big. I know how to get better at chess when you're stuck. If you hate doing analysis do it anyway for the first 7 moves. You'll run across those openings over and over again and end up having more fun even though you might dread analysis. Force yourself to do a quick opening 7 move analysis. We all have our psychology. Mine is playing thousands of games and spinning my wheels at an elo of 1000.

Sometimes both players over look a slimy computer style move that would be winning for like 5 moves in a row; which is logical, because it was a slimy computer move which really effects the accuracy even though the following moves seemed completely logical to a human at least at my level (1800+/-) don't know if this happens to higher rated players

I bought your Caro Kahn course and the midgame course about three weeks ago and they are great! So much info and so many quizzes and drills to bring it all home!
I was hoping for a course on the Slav..I was told that was a good opening against anything other than Kings pawn..But then again there is the Scotch..what do you think i should learn for black in addition to the Caro?
I just had a game where I had a draw because I think my opponent didn't know how to checkmate me. I feel some of these blunders.

I haven't played Chess in months. I got up to 1450 after fluctuating around 800-1000 for a couple months, I must have won about 40 games straight at one point. Then I went on a massive loss streak, dropped 200 ELO & haven't played since.
