As a Beginner i can confirm that we play first because our hand move first before our mind which is very bad habit and cost me many games 😢

Thanks to u, my rating has went from 1500 elo to 1500 elo.

Best chess lesson I’ve ever had. It did not feel like 80 minute video. Awesome keep doing your thing. I am now subscribed with notifications on

I was sooo loving the video so far.. and then the dude says "if you've made it all the way into an hour of this video.." and i was like.. i spent a whole hour?!

I have a question, in minute 13:37, wouldn't rook D1 would've been better? Because the rook is trapped and you end up promoting.

i’m pretty new and my elo is a little below 700 rn. but why didn’t you just send the rook to e8 he’d be forced to take it leaving you to take it back with the pawn making a queen or to attack the pawn which you could take with the rook since the other room is shielding the king. ik they’re just going to take it back with that same rook but wouldn’t you still have the advantage?

This is the best way for amateurs to improve their chess. Thank you

wtf slimshaneyy you should have won on time

Thanks to you Levy! I was between 200-400 when first started playing chess in december 2022 and now im 1050 elo!

48:27 so Kf8 was not only a waste of move but a really bad move after all… a small inaccuracy becomes a serious weakness. very impressive. maybe this is why i'm not 1500

I asked a friend that I want to truly start to understand the game of chess and he recommended this channel and I have to say he was absolutely right.

I just started yesterday and am at 700. At 13:15 mins wouldnt d1(instead of d2) force a checkmate at this point because the pawn would change to a queen after a rook trade because your other rook is covering from a2?

im 600 elo ;-;-;-; ( at least i can make the excuse that i am a kid)

Very instructive, and I relished every second of the video.

Why is L’s theme playing on an Andrew Tate video lmao

Thank you now I really need the 1600 rating video!!!! And up to 2000 this is PERFECT!!!!!!!!

bro is drinking water straight from the carafe 💀

so if you have elo above 1500 so you are better than 95-97 percentile of chess players?

Hi. I am very new to chess but in minute 13:27 why not push rook d8 to d1?

I really appreciate how you didn't belittle your opponents moves or style and how you are very educational. Thanks for the lessons

Im close to reaching 400 😭 man Ive been watchinf videos on how to get better and for some reason my games have been extremely similar to what ive been watching making it a bit easier to get better

At 14:10, I would’ve gone Rd1, attacking the room on e1, pinning it to the king. He can’t take the Pawn with the e1 rook because it’s pinned, could take with Re4xe2 and then Rxe2. Still can’t take on e2 because he is pinned, so maybe Rxd1. If white moves his king to defend the rook, the line is pretty much open for black to move freely in any direction, white doesn’t really have many other moves that benefit, and then a7 can work on promoting.

12:46 let me know if this is unlikely but I feel like you could have had Nate in 5 here Rb8, Rb2, Rxg2, Rxh2, other rook to g2

This guys makes everything so easy and im struggling

I got a question to everyone who is Good at Chess cause I am a 1050 Player and I saw knight f5 in this position wouldnt that give is at least an advantage If Not a mate? 27:29

Levy why is it not rb8 in the first game when he had the bishop protecting and then protects with knight as well
