Chess, a centuries old strategy game where thinking ahead is of upmost importance. Sabre and Tewtiy have some experience with that! They think ahead all the time in Btd 6. So they will find out if this chess thing is something for them!

Btw “check” means to see are no available moves for someone and they auto lose “checkmate” means they can still move a piece and not lose.
As a chess player kinda there is a move called an passount i think that's how u spell it but that move allows u to jump over one enemy piece if they just moved and cature the piece btw they were at a checkmate and didn't realize

blocking with Rc2 gets met with Qxc2✓ and forces Ke1, QxF2✓ forces Kd1, QxF1#
2-2: Ke1, Responded with Qxc3✓
3-1: Bd2, blocking and attacking the Queen, Response: Rb1#
3-2: Rd2, just blocking the check, Qxc1✓, only legal response is Ke2, Qxd2#
3-3: Kd1, Qxd3✓
4-1: Bd2, blocking the check, Rb1#
4-2: Rd2, Blocking and counterattacking the queen, but Qxf1#
4-3: Ke1, Responded with Rb1 Absolute Pinning the bishop to the King, threatening checkmate
5-1: Rc2 defending but unprotected so Qxc2 and it doesn't matter what Sabre plays it's Rxc1#
5-2: Sabres Pawn from f2 to either f3-4 Trying to make a getaway square for the King gets met with Pe3(controlling the escape square)
6-0 Rc2 (only move that prolongs the inevitable) Qxc2
7-0 ANY move, and Rc1#
Castling: if your King and Rook haven't moved, there's nothing in between them, and you are not in check or castling through/into check the King moves 2 squares in the direction of the Rook it's castling with, and the Rook ends on the square next to the King, Opposite of where it started
En passant (French: In Passing): when you move a pawn 2 squares (only available on the first move with that pawn) if there is an enemy pawn next to it, the enemies pawn can capture your pawn as if it only moved 1 square, BUT only for 1 move, after that you no longer have the choice, this results in the capturing pawn going to the square behind your pawn, but your pawn is taken
Pin: when a piece can't move because it's blocking an attack on a piece of greater value (Pawns:1, Knights/Bishops: 3, Rooks:5, Queen: 9, King: Infinity) (WARNING: some enemies could sacrifice the higher value piece to gain an attack elsewhere)
Absolute Pin: a piece can't move without revealing an attack on the King, this piece CANNOT move unless it is in the direction of the Pin until you either move your King out of the Pin, or get rid of/blocking the attacking piece
Skewer: When a piece goes to a Square that attacks a Higher value piece, but if it moves it will still get another high value piece (imagine attacking the opponents Queen with your Bishop but when it moves it reveals an attack on their Rook) (doesn't have to be high value pieces, could be used for getting unprotected pieces and forcing trades)
Fork: when you attack either 2 weaknesses at the same time, or if you attack 2 higher value pieces at the same time
No the king should have been legend of the night or dark champion
