Saddest thing is chess is the most boring game to cheat on. The point is to outsmart your opponent, stockfish doesnโt make you smarter it just gives you the answer.
Do these cheaters really think they won't get caught when they cheat against high profile chess players?
I know that vishy realized that the opponent was definitely cheating but vishy had a chance to flag him. If i was in vishy's place i would have flagged him and exposed him as well.

cheating in chess is still tricky. if there's an admission or you see the guy obviously checking at something else, of course. Timing can help, but it's not all. some people, you know, play chess at a hobby. they smoke, drink, check the phone, eat a sandwich… it's not fair calling someone a cheater just because its checkmating a superior opponent but took twice as time to get there. it makes sense, best players think and act quicker too.
if the cheater though takes very little to make a very complex move, yes, very likely there's a software involved.
To accuse someone of cheating dont you have to have proof?
Like… if he is facing a cheater why isn't he just playing random moves? Why does he still try to win if no one managed to do it?

How do we know for sure the very first example is a cheater? I understand that his rake is way lower than the skill on display. But how do we know he is officially cheating?
